I recently acquired an autonomous vacuum cleaning robot. It is not a toy but it does have good entertainment value. What amazes me is how well it does and how affordable it was. IMO the robots are coming on the scene very rapidly. |

I don't know... does it really do a decent job? The ones I've seen on tv just bounce around off furniture, and aren't very impressive. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Yes the Roomba does bounce off furniture and does a fair, not great job on the carpets. Where it shines is it goes places I normally don't vacuum very often such as under the sofa or beds. It is outstanding on cleaning at the base of a wall. Once you run one everybody I know who has tried one ended up buying. It will not replace your regular vacuum but you will use it a lot less. |

I had a Roomba (robot vacuum cleaner) about 7 years ago. It did ok but having pets it clogged often and really did not clean the carpet very well. |

I'm not sure what would happen with the Roomba if it were to encounter Grace's discarded fur. I doubt Grace would ride it, though She might sit on it, at least until it started up. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
