Is it just me, or is there more seeing a lot of v8 resends coming though? I see around 15 - 20 % of new tasks are resends. Maybe it's the luck of the draw, or "new" apps kicking errors. Not sure I haven't had the time to look. |

As a rough (aggregate) estimate of health of the project applications as a whole, and my own systems/apps, I like to use #Inconclusive/#pending , and aim in app development for lower than 5%. Inconclusives naturally would be someone's resends. My current systems work out to 2.5% (Mac), 4.8% (Win), and 5% (Linux) with the same Cuda code and no errors/invalids, so in the ballpark. This proportion of inconclusives is generally lower than under v7 (~10% with healthy system+apps) and v6 (~15-20% with healthy system and apps) In other words, on a statistical level, I'd guess your perceived preponderance of resends may be luck of the draw with respect to when your host(s) requested work, what was going through validation, and reentering the feeder queue (as opposed to initial replication straight from the splitter). There are some dicey stock Mac apps, and experimental Cuda builds circulating, though in general the app quality (and so project efficiency) has risen, with setiathome_v8.
