About 24h later, 1466 left Well over the last 2 days 15 tasks from the above machine have been released into the wild due to timing out, 7 have already validated. There are another 16 timing out on the 21st!! |

at that rate, you are going to run out of size and colour before you run out of tasks :D you check once a day? care to make a graph? I'd like to make a quick extrapolation. A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. (Mark Twain) |

I don't get why thy don't set v7 tasks to a 2 week deadline, it can't be that hard, and let them run at a higher priority. 8 weeks is bloody ridiculous when you want to get rid of them, they all seem to go to 'lazy' users :( |

I don't get why thy don't set v7 tasks to a 2 week deadline, it can't be that hard, and let them run at a higher priority. Because in any science experiment, if you start manipulating the outcome on purpose, you change the result :D That's why. "Living by the wisdom of computer science doesn't sound so bad after all. at that rate, you are going to run out of size and colour before you run out of tasks :D A linear extrapolation of the data since the beginning of April suggests 26 April at 10:52 (UTC). Reality - which is represented by the data I have for the deprecation (if that's the right term?) of AP v505, MB Enhanced v6 and AP v6 - dictates otherwise. AP v505 took over a month to process the last 62 tasks; MB Enhanced v6 required three months to process the last 452 tasks, and AP v6 took three weeks to decrease from 452 to 88 tasks, after which the data were no longer available. |

Can somebody explain why: Results returned and awaiting validation is 1,599 and Results out in the field is 444 (at posting time) Any explanations? Or is it just that validator stats are 24h+ hours "late" |

Can somebody explain why: Every outstanding v7 WU is likely to have at least 2 tasks "awaiting validation", and some have 3 or more. On the other hand, at this late date, only 1 task per WU is likely to be "out in the field". Those numbers would imply that the average number of tasks per remaining v7 WU is approaching 4 each. |

Counts:- UTC ..... Out in ..... Awaiting ........ field ...... Validation 19:00 .... 443 ....... 1591 20:50 .... 442 ....... 1571 So, 1 Hour 50 mins elapsed, 1 result came in, but 20 came off the "awaiting validation" count. Does that mean that there were 20 non-matching results on 1 WU, that the one recieved result cleared? Hmmm I could understand 3 or even 5, but 20 - Wow! Edit :- to reformat table data. Happy Crunching, Graham |

Well, there's also the 24-hour purge to consider, so that drop may actually reflect the results that were validated a day ago. |

Sten you are easily amused. It's more interesting than watching grass grow, paint dry, or golf. Grant Darwin NT |

Golf can be fun to watch, it just depends on where you aim the ball :D |

Just finished my v7. We are down to 5 now. I'm in the 26 queue awaiting validation, so one of those 5 is a resend of that unit. |
