Best friends by the looks of the pic.

Yes:)
This evening when I was walking our dog Tosca I lost the grip of her leash when she saw a loose cat.
She has met the same cat many more times before but now she ran like crazy after the cat.
Tosca loves to play with cats but perhaps this one was not so very fond of it.

Cat-Themed Pop-Up Spa To Bring Massages, Manicures, Cats To Cuddle Downtown (Chicago)

MAGNIFICENT MILE — Need to pamper yourself with cats?

Here's your chance.

Muse, a new cat food brand from Purina, will open a pop-up spa from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday (June 14, 2016) at Pioneer Court, 401 N. Michigan Ave.

But not just any pop-up spa. This one will be cat-themed, offering people "caticures," temporary "cattoos," "meowsages," and actual cats up for adoption from the Critical Animal Relief Foundation.

I also came across this pic last week and it's just too weird a photo to NOT share :)

For those that don't know her, that's Batman's mom. Took the pic a bit over a year ago but only got 'round to re-orienting this batch.

Here's the Bat himself, about a month later and during a heatwave:

I do hope you were very careful not to
disturb Batman while taking that pix.

LOL

But seriously IIRC only his ears moved ('cause the camera is a bit noisy) then dozed off again and stayed in that stance for another half hour :)

Found this on the AccuWeather.com's trending videos this am:
Curious cat perplexed by hailstorm
Torrential rain and a sudden hailstorm battered the British Columbia area on June 14. One curious cat, seen in this video, was perplexed by the hail.

Awwwwwwwwww... lovely pictures and news and clips, everyone. Thank you :)

'scuse me while I quote myself, won't you...(from the jumble thread)
One of my furry girlies fell asleep on the tipmost-top of the stair banisters.

...which sort of ties-in with unusual places that I've tried to discourage her from sleeping in, but have failed to.

Anyway... she fell off in her sleep and now has a spinal fracture :( compliments of not waking up till she hit the edge of the bottom step HARD :/

It's requiring a lot of TLC and hourly warm hot-water-bottle changes etc while we wait and see what nerve functions recover, which I don't mind, but is time-consuming, so I might be a bit scarce on the boards for a bit. I'm optimistic because my sister's cat Bagheera (who now lives with me) completely paralysed himself for several weeks in a bad fall jusr before I took him in, and he's walking fiiiine now... yes, his back legs go at a different pace and angle to his front ones, which means they occasionally overtake him and he finds himself walking in the opposite direction to the one he intended, but other than that... you wouldn't know there was anything wrong... and I think Posy will be the same in time :)

oh...and did we say we like humans too? Well we do :)

That really sucks, annie. I'm so sorry, and I hope she recovers completely. Are you financially able to pay for the care, or could you use
some help. (Not that I can provide much, but together we might be able to
make a dent.)

Another day, Another cat study... Via Popular Science:
CATS MAY UNDERSTAND CAUSE AND EFFECT, STUDY FINDS
(AND GRASP THE LAWS OF PHYSICS)

Science is getting closer to proving that yes, your cats are probably smarter than you. According to a study from researchers in Japan, cats seem to understand physics and cause and effect.

To do that, the researchers studied 30 domesticated cats, and videotaped their reactions to different scenarios. If you’ve ever had a cat, you’ve probably watched them react excitedly to a shaken bag of treats. The researchers in Japan have created a similar scenario by shaking a container in front of the cats. In one scenario, the container rattles and then an object is dropped from the container. In another, the container makes no noise and no object drops. These two are generally congruent with the laws of physics: the sound signals to the cat that there is something inside. And the cats reacted appropriately, staring longer at the container that made a sound.
