Gary --- Colorado State passed red flag laws, some sheriffs refuse to obey -- declare 2 nd amendment free zones -- is this headed for court challenge ?????
Several Colorado sheriffs say they won't enforce red flag gun law. Several sheriffs in the state of Colorado are digging in their heels against a gun law that will go into effect January 1, allowing for the temporary confiscation of firearms if a gun owner shows dangerous or threatening behaviour.

Only if those who state they want to ignore the law file a suit seeking an injunction. BTDT.

Traitors come in all forms. Obviously Colorado has the legal authority to regulate its militia any way it sees fit.

What is much more distressing is the politicization of law enforcement by these Sheriffs. By that action alone they are unfit to hold any office of profit or trust.

As I understand it Now:

State of Colorado:

    1)- Governor ------------------------ now Democratic.

    2) - Senate --------------------------- now Democratic.

    3) - House of Reps ------------------ now Democratic.

    4) - supreme court of Colorado --- now Democratic.

Could these --- Sheriffs --- be challenged in court >>> for not following Red Flag Laws of Colorado ?????

I think Red Flag Laws save lives.

Byron: Refusing to obey an order of the court, is contempt of court. Theoretically if something were to happen they could be charged as an accessory to whatever happened. Until there is a court order, they can spout as they please. Amazing how many shut up the moment they are served with papers.

Fortunately what you 'think' holds little water in the US.

Why don't you move here, obtain citizenship, and vote? Then what you think will matter in the amount of 1 vote.

hi JaundicedEye

thank you for answering my post,

If life seems jolly rotten,

There's something you've forgotten!

And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing,

When you're feeling in the dumps,

Don't be silly chumps,

Just purse your lips and whistle -- that's the thing!

And always look on the bright side of life

Best Wishes,

Byron --- "Democratic Socialist"

How's that move that you were doing down to Texas going Eye and how many more lefties are there now where you currently are?

I just thought I'd ask as you were making such a big thing about it back then. ;-)

Agreed!

N Carolina Sheriff: Gun instructor accidentally shoots self

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — A North Carolina sheriff’s office says a firearms instructor has been injured in an accidental shooting on the job.

The Wake County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement obtained by news outlets Monday that the instructor, a civilian employee, accidentally shot himself in the leg at the Wake County Firearms Education and Training Center on Sunday afternoon.

Er... time for a new career, I would think.

One of my favorite Monty Python endeavors..........see we agree on something.

By that action alone --- they are unfit to hold any office of profit or trust.

The actual number of Sheriffs who will not co-operate or enforce this denial of Due Process is close to 50% in Colorado.

Fortunately, and by design, that decision is made by the citizens living in the County who elected that Sheriff.........and the smart money is on those Sheriffs being re-elected overwhelmingly......because those Counties are rural farmers and ranchers, the 'backbone of America' types.

Or as one of the myriad Left Biased educated 'Professors'(oxymoron if ever there was one) called them, "Bad people who deserve uncomfortable lives"(interesting, but not surprising where he teaches).
https://www.foxnews.com/us/uc-berkeley-instructor-rural-americans-bad-people
........his opinion as to what is uncomfortable. It would be a great example for these myopic "opinionators" to suddenly be denied the fruits of the labors of these bad people........such as FOOD!

Grow it yourself, smart guy.

They prove every day that they are unfit to hold any office of profit or trust. They are the largest employers of undocumented workers. They spray cancer causing chemicals on the nation's food supply. They don't properly clean their processing plants contaminating the nations food supply with food borne illness. They don't keep their waste ponds from contaminating the countryside, rivers and drinking water supplies. From top to bottom they are criminals. But you call them the backbone of America. To Make America Great Again, should not one of the first things done be to remove criminals from America?

The best way to do that is start from the top & work down.

Gary, I am surprised that your list made no mention that U.S. farms are also the recipients of one of the most expensive forms of social assistance: farm subsidies. Yet this is often ignored by many who claim to be for smaller government, reduced taxation and fewer handouts.

The federal government spends more than $20 billion a year on subsidies for farm businesses. About 39 percent of the nation's 2.1 million farms receive subsidies, with the lion's share of the handouts going to the largest producers of corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, and rice.

So true, but those subsidies are not illegal. Many of the schemes that farmers do to get that money are fraud.

(In any case if we continue this about farms, it should be moved to another thread.)

Teen used ‘ghost gun’ in California high school shooting
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The teenager who shot five classmates, killing two, at a Southern California high school used an unregistered “ghost gun,” Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said Thursday.

Villanueva told media outlets Thursday that 16-year-old Nathaniel Tennosuke Berhow’s .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol was assembled from gun parts and did not have a serial number.

Berhow pulled the gun from his backpack on Nov. 14— his birthday — in an open-air quad at Saugus High School in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Clarita and in 16 seconds shot five students at random. At one point, the gun jammed but he quickly cleared it and continued shooting.

Sheriff’s Lt. Brandon Dean of the homicide bureau said in a statement that authorities do not know who assembled the pistol or bought its components.
