Sheesh. What next? The main question being - why did Uber ever accept him as a driver? ??? Uber has spent millions on Lawyers to be sure the drivers are not employees so they can disclaim any liability of the independent company er driver. Pass a law making the drivers employees and suddenly the insurance company will make sure Uber does extreme vetting. |

Love one of the comments. That'll keep the 2nd amendment fanatics happy. "Every six year old has a right to bear arms. It says so in the Constitution." |

Wouldn't have happened in the UK, handguns banned since 27th February & 27th November 1997 , use of guns for self protection banned since 17th October 1946, no Good Reason under the Firearms Act 1968 for possession of a firearm in a Bowling Alley, Uber Taxi, Public Street, or a Shopping Centre. Five Years Mandatory Prison. Police Interviews in the applicants home for a Firearms Certificate would include the mandatory fitment of a Home Office Approved Gun Cabinet to stop Six Year Old children from gaining possession of firearms and ammunition to take to a Children's Nursery. The same Interview process would also identify Mental Illness, through records obtained from a General Practitioner, NHS Mental Health Services, or from family members and partners. The NHS is FREE, so there is no financial reason for an individual to not be treated for a mental illness, and have this identified through school, social services, or via a General Practitioner a long time ago. Yeah, I own firearms and shotguns for sport and pest control, and I'm happy the system is so strict, I don't walk about paranoid that someone is going to attack me, rob me, and kill me. Walking a couple of miles at night here after an evening out is not dangerous, no-one is 'packing'. Yes its a rural town I live in, not a City, where the risk might be higher, or Londonistan where knife attacks are a result of uncontrolled immigration, so there are problems here, I don't deny that, but all of the situations described, as just not happening here. |

Ah yes, your belief that the constitution should be considered written in stone, when it was originally written so vaguely and full of loopholes because it needed to be agreed by all of the 13 original colonies. |

Ah yes, your belief that the constitution should be considered written in stone, when it was originally written so vaguely and full of loopholes because it needed to be agreed by all of the 13 original colonies.....that's called 'Compromise'. Something you and the EU should try. ..............AND it's worked QUITE WELL, for oh 8 generations of AMERICAN citizens........and will continue to work unless we commit suicide by Socialism... It's also known as being ready to accept that the future will be different from the past, and the common standards of society will have to adapt accordingly.Ah yes, your belief that the constitution should be considered written in stone, when it was originally written so vaguely and full of loopholes because it needed to be agreed by all of the 13 original colonies.....that's called 'Compromise'. Something you and the EU should try. I don't think the Constitution has much to say about railroads, motor cars, or aeroplanes. Because they hadn't been invented yet. And for the same reason, it doesn't have anything to say about long range, high velocity, rapid fire, assault rifles. |

....that's called 'Compromise'. Something you and the EU should try.LOL. The "socialist" state of Sweden is protected by Crown Princess Victoria. The United Kingdom by Queen Elisabeth. Many compromises over the years. Compromise or else! |

Ah history. :-) It's amazing how a "historical" piece of bog roll is often used to wipe dribbling from mouths rather than butts. :-) |

It's Elizabeth not Elisabeth. :-)Sorry. We don't use the letter Z so often anymore because it's totally redundant. Like Q and W. Actually my sister's second name is Elisabet, not Elizabeth. And that TH. Why can't you use the letter Þ instead? Ops. Just noticed that I spelled our Crown Princess' name wrong. Should be Viktoria, nothing else. |

English compromise ... "You will 'compromise' or we will force 'compromise' upon you".......That one is, sadly, still all too true, and apparently the permanent mindset of our current Brexiteers. |
