Is there any hard evidence or reliable referenced research that shows having a population saturated with lethal weaponry to hand somehow reduces crime or even somehow reduces deadly crime? Or...obviously 'removing lethal weaponry' doesn't stop mass shootings, and as the gun haters LOVE to parrot.......'even if it saves 'JUST ONE LIFE', it's worth having the 2nd Amendment. At least WE in America have the CHOICE whether or not to own a firearm as PPE, (the same as a mask). Since the Fairy Tale of 'removing all guns from society' cannot be accomplished as proven by many countries with deadly results(Charly Hebdo, The Buffalo Club-Darwin Au., Hanau, Germany, and the synopsis....... and most recently, Nova Scotia,.........how about trying something different? Like giving citizens in the rest of the world the RIGHT to CHOOSE to defend themselves OR NOT, in the most appropriate manner and with the same technology being used against them. How's THAT for a direct answer? "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Why don't you redo that chart with military operation mass shootings removed. Also post a chart on the percent of people shot per year based on population. You might also try a chart on percent of people shot per year based on fraction of gun ownership. That should be a real eye opener. |

Why don't you redo that chart with military operation mass shootings removed. Yes. And why didn't the mass armed US population engaged in the mass shootings in Las Vegas and Florida to help the police? |

Why don't you redo that chart with military operation mass shootings removed. Indeed those odds were very unfair. That lone gunman was out-gunned 58-to-one and 49-to-one for those massacres, even if everyone else were still asleep! Rhetorically: So what happened?!... Or do we need to train up every USA citizen to become a 'Batman' of 'Gotham City' to get themselves up to minimum gun spec? Obviously not. And where is all the 'Batman' super-high-tech personal amour vital 'PPE'?... The USA guns should be scrapped just as the lynchings of old have been scrapped. Only in the USA? Military mass shootings are as much a part of 'our one world' as everything else, why leave them out? Were the people killed in those 'military' shootings allowed to possess firearms to defend themselves? Same as saying 'leave the holocaust out of WWII casualties, because they weren't on the battlefield.......... "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Doesn't matter really. But for heavens sake, doesn't American civilians still understand that guns are not for defending people? At best they work as a deterrent. But they are built to kill people.Oh dear. Is it a civil war again in the US?It's on the cards with the attitude that some display on a regular basis. :-( |

Military mass shootings are as much a part of 'our one world' as everything else, why leave them out?At least some of those "gun" deaths were actually by bomb. But hey I get it, a 155mm recoilless rifle with a W-48 shell is still a gun, don't you agree? |

I'm surprised that a citizen wearing a face mask, gloves & a sidearm hasn't been shot because a copper or security guard was in fear of their life. Can't happen? Won't happen? Anything is possible in America. |

But they are built to kill people. moomin, we DO understand that...........which makes them the 'deterrent' you describe. Criminals not too stupid to actually think are well aware of the fact that breaking into a home could very well result in their 'untimely' departure from this plane. That's why they LOOK FOR the "Gun Free Zone" signs before robbing liquor and convenience stores. And why THINKING citizens avoid those killing fields. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

I'm surprised that a citizen wearing a face mask, gloves & a sidearm hasn't been shot because a copper or security guard was in fear of their life. Especially if they have darker skin coloration and are going into a financial institution. |

Just parking your car?... Here is the reality of the USA being awash with guns: US bodycam footage shows man shooting at police wrote: ... in a car park in Sacramento, California, when he started firing at officers. Where's that 'Batman' everyday body armor that everyone must wear every day? All in the USA? https://spectator.org/mass-shootings-in-gun-free-zones/ According to ABC News, El Paso law enforcement officials advise that, moments before his killing rampage, the shooter cased the Walmart “looking for Mexicans.†While that may be so, it is nevertheless true that, consistent with his “manifesto,†his recon was also calculated to make sure that he would be attacking in a low-security area. In that regard, the Walmart store had no armed security guard, no police presence, and was located in a shopping mall that was a self-proclaimed “gun-free zone.†Several other instances are referenced in the article and a simple internet search provides several other sources and common sense would also indicate the uselessness of "Gun Free(read "no retaliation") Zones".
