And don't forget that the .223 cartridge model is the most available model of the lot of these assault weapons. To be clear, an AR style rifle as sold to civilians is NOT a military grade weapon, for many reasons. . And remember that Eye is also against abortion, but this is probably due to him wanting plenty of school kids around for targets just to keep himself safe. |

Sorry, you lost me on this flight of lunacy.......exactly WHAT does the staged photo have to do with the Second Amendment? Other tan depicting a Dim AG seeking publicity. An AG who by the way was killed for supporting a free Israel.I'll write this slowly a s I know you can't read fast. You will note that this is a reply to your post which in turn was a reply to my post which in turn was a reply to another. Had you clicked on the "reply to" part of the post you refer to as lunacy, you would have realised something amiss. Therefore, an intelligent person would have realised that the post in question was relevant to the post that went astray, thereby it would have prevented your tirade... ...possibly preventing. :-) |

Here we go again :-( Domestic dispute, always the most dangerous ... https://apnews.com/5a826f196fa9451bad04a13e621ef104/Gunfire-erupts-at-New-Jersey-arts-festival;-22-wounded Onofri said a 33-year-old man was killed, apparently by police, and the second suspect is in custody. He said a “neighborhood beef†is behind the shooting. |

"New Jersey's firearms laws are among the most restrictive in the country; some of which are being challenged in state and federal courts." Are you strip searched going into New Jersey? |

"New Jersey’s Tough Gun Laws Just Got Even Stronger" As I've said, most supporters of the 2nd Amendment have no problem with background checks. Other portions of and the manner of the enactment of these laws, I find problematic. Problem 1) Definition of Mental Health Professional.....(should be MEDICAL Mental Health Professional)and a violation of the 4th Amendment as unlawful seizure. And also brings in the possibility that someone with an axe to grind could make accusation setting in motion denial of property without due process. Problem 2) Limiting magazines to 10 rounds from 15 is the same faulty logic as limiting the volume of gasoline tanks to a few gallons thereby cutting down on pedestrian deaths because the drivers are too busy refilling their tanks. Problem 3) These laws were enacted without a referendum of the residents of New Jersey. As they limit or infringe on Constitutional Rights The People should have a voice in the matter by a vote. The problem is not a matter of new gun regulations it's a lack of enforcement of the existing regulations and lack of sentencing to the maximum term any crimes involving firearms without possibility of early release. More and stricter gun laws have not curbed firearms violence in the two most regulated cities New York and especially Chicago. Again, Criminals ignore laws because they are Criminals. Widening who is defined as a Criminal does nothing to solve the core problem. But it gives the anti 2nd Amendment crowd warm fuzzies. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Eye Problem 2) Limiting magazines to 10 rounds from 15 is the same faulty logic as limiting the volume of gasoline tanks to a few gallons thereby cutting down on pedestrian deaths because the drivers are too busy refilling their tanks. The more time spent changing magazines the fewer rounds per minute, duh. Problem 3) These laws were enacted without a referendum of the residents of New Jersey. As they limit or infringe on Constitutional Rights The People should have a voice in the matter by a vote. So you're saying legaslators should not pass laws, why bother having a one? More and stricter gun laws have not curbed firearms violence in the two most regulated cities New York and especially Chicago. As you know these weapons are imported, in order to work the restrictions need to be more universal. Oh well thoughts and prayers will address the problem. |

Really?! SNORT!! What you advocate is why California is so BLUE. The people there pass laws, not a legislature! Ballot Propositions. Can't believe you actually fell for that crap of direct democracy. The USA is a republic for a reason and the founding fathers damn well knew why! |

Problem 1) Definition of Mental Health Professional.....(should be MEDICAL Mental Health Professional)and a violation of the 4th Amendment as unlawful seizure. And also brings in the possibility that someone with an axe to grind could make accusation setting in motion denial of property without due process.Second part first, anyone can at any time and they don't need a gun law. An accusation that you are unfit to take care of your affairs will do. As to the Fourth Amendment, where do you find that there will not be a legal proceeding before the temporary custody is made a permanent seizure? Can I see the text of the law? No, just another pile of horse manure. Now as to what you call a Mental Health Professional, adding MEDICAL is just pure horse manure. Mental Health Professional will be very well properly described in the codes and statutes licensing that person to practice in that state. The fact that you don't know that such laws exist, says a lot about how much you know about America. Perhaps not enough to pass a citizenship test. Maybe they should send you back! Yes deportation. Guilty until proved innocent, that is the way of immigration system. |

More and stricter gun laws have not curbed firearms violence in the two most regulated cities New York and especially Chicago. Can strict gun laws work when there are virtually no gun laws 2 miles down the road. Try comparing Chicago's with those in Indiana, or a bit further away in Wisconsin. |

...........so, if such laws exist, why are new ones needed?Problem 1) Definition of Mental Health Professional.....(should be MEDICAL Mental Health Professional)and a violation of the 4th Amendment as unlawful seizure. Or admit they haven't been written yet so there there is no reason to complain they violate something because they don't even exist. <ed>Or to put it correctly you are complaining about laws that are figments of your imagination taking away your rights. We do agree that those on the Radical Left are a greater threat to 'the people' and humanity. For someone who ranted against Nazism & communist depicting avatars, that statement is hilarious :-) |

LOL. Back on topic if the pantless one allows. One of the issues seen regarding the 2nd on this thread was Militia. In the 86 years of independence up to the start of the civil war, the militia were seen as undisciplined & undependable. I've always felt that it was much better to have a trained & disciplined standing army. My surprise on reading a book* about a famous American general who not only felt that but witnessed it at the 1st battle of Bull Run. Cant see much change in the 157 years since. *American General: The life & times of William Tecumseh Sherman by John S.D. Eisenhower. Edit: another surpise which gave much chuckles was that Sherman has been named as the 1st to create "Total War" so all those American posters mentioning Dresden & the like, my answer is: We only followed your example! |
