Suddennly last week I've been getting computation errors. I haven't changed anything. Happens on both the CPU WU and CUDA WU. I have 20 Gb reserved on disk for BOINC This is a sample from the event log: 9/22/2015 6:56:50 PM | SETI@home | Aborting task 08ja11ae.14564.5957.438086664201.12.46.vlar_1: exceeded disk limit: 4390.03MB > 32.00MB this is what I'm running: Operating System Windows, 64 bits Microsoft Windows Vista, Home Premium x64 Edition, Service Pack 2, (06.00.6002.00) CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz [Family 6 Model 26 Stepping 5] Coprocessor 1x CUDA GeForce GTX 260 http://boincstats.com/signature/-1/user/479/sig.png |

This error is thrown by the science applications, it doesn't matter in this how much disk space you've set BOINC to use. You will get the error when the science application thinks it is going to use more disk space than the resources for the task tell it it can use. BOINC 7.4.42 has a bug where it can happen it doesn't clean up the slots that are used by BOINC to run the science application & tasks in. BOINC 7.6 has a fix for this, so I would urge you to first try to upgrade to BOINC 7.6.9. Do know, the GUI changed, you may look that over before you dive in. |

Jord Thanks a lot - that solved the problem. I work 12 hours a day 6 days a week so I didn't have time to research it out much. Just tried to search the forums. I just let my machines run while I'm not using them, usually 23 hours a day. I was afraid that this one had overheated & fried something. Being back in business is a great felling. Thanks again.
