James Blake doesnt look black to me:) Anyway. It looks to me that the US have a lot of segregation. White people afraid of going to black neighborhoods. Black people afraid of going to white neighborhoods. And here... A suspected gunman forcing a U2 concert to cancel in Stockholm on Sunday night has been identified as a police officer, Swedish media are reporting. |

Police officers render aid and assistance to injured man. The races of those involved weren't immediately known. |

Police officers render aid and assistance to injured man. There is about 32 times more people living in the US then in my country. Bad cops are everywhere and shit happens. Media like "bad news" and we readers get a wrong impression. The US is not 32 times worse than Sweden. And yes. We can read these stories about Swedish cops as well! |

The US is not 32 times worse than Sweden. That is because most of us don't eat lutefisk. |

Thanks for this link on the safety of policing. Something seems off about point 3 though. Only 3% of officers were killed by Hispanics, mixed, Native Americans or Asians combined even though those groups make up 24% of the population? Non-Hispanic whites are 63% of the U.S. population, blacks 13%, Hispanics 17% and others 7%. The raw data is somewhere on this page but I didn't find it to confirm the data of the article. If all things were equal we'd expect police to have been killed 63% of the time by non-Hispanic whites and 13% by blacks so the 46% of police officers killed by blacks is more than 3x expectations. Some of this can be attributed to the hyper-focus of police attention on the black community, some on the violence being taught to certain black citizens as high numbers get their finishing education from the prison system while another part of it can be attributed to anti-social and borderline personalities developed from poverty conditions. People will use their biases to argue for their reasons for the higher than normal expected deaths of police by black citizens and there's doesn't seem to be a way to develop an experiment to determine what the cause is. From personal experience, I'd put the number of anti-social and Borderline personalities (and their propensity to acting out and living on the edge) being developed in the ghetto neighborhoods mixing with police who focus way too much on black citizens as the best combination to explain what's happening. /begin rant We need a massive increase in mental health screening and treatment in the U.S. Policing in itself has been shown to increase psychopathic behaviors in the police and prison guards and so they need to be screened monthly for increases in their psychopathic profile. Policing is one of the top ten most preferred professions of the 3% of sociopaths/psychopaths that make up any human population. Poverty and lack of stable parenting creates a much higher chance to raise a borderline or anti-social personality and the health care systems, plus the culture against accepting mental illness in our local black neighborhoods, mean that effective treatments, such as DBT, don't get to who needs them before their lives are destroyed by felony convictions, loss of education, or drug addictions. I'm tired of hearing my neighbors in Jennings/Ferguson saying that 'They need Jesus' as the solution to everything. Our DBT counselor at the Keinlen clinic left because she wasn't getting used. We've got signs up all over the place saying 'We need to stop killing each other' but no solutions are offered on how to stop the killing. I know I'm damn tired of police searching young people who just walk by with grocery bags or hog-tying kids after they get into a fist fight after school. Kids get into fights after school sometimes. It always happened before and there's no reason why black kids should be introduced into the justice system at 14 because they settled things with fists. 30 years ago the kids would be dragged home to their parents or taken to the school gym and fitted with boxing gloves, pushed into the Boy Scouts or a sports team. Now these police, who don't live here, who have no children in the school system, who don't hang out at the local tavern after work, act like an occupying army that doesn't give a damn about the residents because these police are not a part of the tribe that makes up the neighborhood. It's not just white racism, it's police tribalism that pits them against the local tribe. Police need to live in the neighborhoods where they work with few exceptions so they feel like a part of the local group. |

Another case of bad policing? Surprisingly it's not America. Parramatta Australia "The jihadi managed to walk into the police lobby unchallenged despite the elevated terror alert in light of recent chatter targeting that police station." Strict gun control in Australia? Then where did a 15 year old get that weapon? |

Another case of bad policing? Surprisingly it's not America. OMG. Muslim Farhad Jabar Khalil Mohammed was dancing joyously and shouting “allahu akbar†as he murdered police employee Curtis Cheng, who was leaving police headquarters. Cheng was executed at point blank range in Sydney West Australia. “allahu akbar†means "God is greater" or OMG! Nothing else!!!!!!!! Don't know who Curtis Cheng is. May he rest in piece inshallah... There was a BIG party here. I don't know if it was Eid el-adha or Ashura. Whatever. They had fun and our dog Tosca was there:) |

http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2015/10/cop-fired-after-recording-himself-repeatedly-tasering-unarmed-suspect/ Camera attached to every gun and taser that automatically fires up when pulled. I'm all behind that tech! What percentage of tasers have that now? This behavior is easily explained when you understand the evidence that likely 8-12% of police are psychopaths. All in all, can you imagine how unfair it was to deal with police 100 years ago with no cameras or internet? It casts so much doubt over much of what is written in history books. |

Guess Who? Again! http://abc7.com/news/woman-punched-by-chp-officer-detained-on-10-freeway/1021137/ The mentally-ill woman who received a $1.5 million settlement after cellphone video captured her being punched repeatedly by a California Highway Patrol officer alongside a Los Angeles freeway was detained Tuesday, not too far from where she was beaten in 2014. |

http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2015/10/cop-fired-after-recording-himself-repeatedly-tasering-unarmed-suspect/ It's not highly studied area, so if you meet a police officer you can expect a 1 in 10 chance they are a functional psychopath until better mental health screenings across police districts is performed.
For a specific style of body cam. The ones that buffer 30 seconds of video and only saves a record when the officer pushes the button. This way they can let incriminating records disappear by not pushing the record button. The cam that saves a record when a gun or taser is pulled is not popular with St Louis and St Louis County police unions. |

It's not highly studied area, so if you meet a police officer you can expect a 1 in 10 chance they are a functional psychopath until better mental health screenings across police districts is performed. What 'type' is that? A highly intelligent, college educated and rational human being with empathy? Your 2nd comment was a personal attack which you claim is the last resort of those losing a debate.
Several police unions in large cities are (or have) attempting to block body cameras: http://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/community/miami-dade/article1981217.html http://www.policeone.com/police-products/body-cameras/articles/7921491-Boston-brass-police-union-fear-body-cams-on-cops/ Police Executive Research Firm http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/03/15/officers-body-cameras-raise-privacy-concerns/ Police are worried about losing their jobs if they get caught saying something bad about a superior while the cam is on and their own privacy and other lack of guidelines. http://www.npr.org/2011/11/07/142016109/smile-youre-on-cop-camera It would be nice if you provide some evidence for your assertions as many police have quite loudly said they do not want the hassle and risk to their careers of wearing a body camera. As for dubbing me 'Uninteresting' for a nickname, that also counts as a personal attack and a sign you are losing a debate. I wonder what others about here call you privately? |

Another Hijacking. You are approaching a new low - even for you, Sir. That people are still willing to engage with you is either a miracle or an act of charity. We have nothing to fear but fear itself. Apart from pain. And maybe humiliation. And obviously death. And failure. But apart from fear, pain and humiliation, failure and the unknown and death - we have nothing to fear. Who’s with me? |
