800+ miles of power lines.

I don't think any use can be made of the aurora as
a power source, but does it make much of a difference
on the current flow during an all out solar storm? Do
you do any planning beforehand for the phenomena?

I cannot answer that for the entire system. I am responsible for the line from Palmdale to Burbank.

Here is one of the three routes we are considering. (the one with the least opposition) It will mostly be underground. Purple is underground, green at grade and blue is a bridge.

We should be ok.

Wow, if we ever had a visit I would have a million questions.
Very impressive looking project indeed.

Realizing that I am a complete armature when it comes to these things, I am still impressed....

It was the "drilling through a fault line" that was my first question.

Thanks for the link, I am enjoying the similarities between how your people react to this sort of thing for/against,
and how we do it. Do you think there is a school some place that teaches that stuff? I would like to see the project
completed.

Found out what was wrong with the car, two vacuum hoses had rotted, a place in
Barstow CA called Lube Express fixed the car, It now idles properly, now I owe
Roberto there $10.00, I've saved that on My PC in My notes, so that when My
check comes in on Sept 30th I can pay Him. He had tried to look them up and they
aren't available anymore for a 1999 Ford Escort zx2, so He went over to where I
guess they keep odds and ends, got a couple hoses of different sizes, installed
them near the mass air sensor and such, and well the car idles, and so far has
not died while in or out of gear.

Before I had the work done, which took about 10 mins, the car stalled as I was
approaching a stop sign today, now that doesn't happen, I'm going to need to get
My friend Tim to turn the warning light off again, this time the idiot light should stay off.
I hope.

Unless there's another problem.

Aaaagghh! I just remembered, my car has multiple problems I need to get fixed and an emissions test done by the end of the month.

He looked all over that area with a flashlight.

I'm lucky the car is based off a Mazda design, the body is mostly Fords, but the version I have is a 2 year only model, 1998-1999, in 2000-2003 the Hot Coupe zx2 was just known as the zx2, in 2003 Ford killed the Escort, it's getting hard to replace some parts, mainly on the body. The running gear is compatible with the '90-'94 Mazda 323, MX3 and Protege, I have drum brakes in the back, upgrading to rear disc brakes just needs Mazda parts.

Recently I learned of some bad news, that so far does not have a lot to do with Me, 2 of My friends are moving out, 1 of which I wanted to make the lady into My gf, but things didn't work out that way, that just happened, if He gets a job, She is going to marry Him, they're moving is cause they have to, the place they are in has black mold and a leaky roof(they filed a case in court, someone is going to inspect the park, the word slumlord has been mentioned, the park looks like a dump, even after raising the rent by $50 a month in July 2016), the park offered to put them in a worse place I'm told, but since they don't want that place, the park and them had a dispute over a deposit($500, they wanted the place they were in fixed, the park doesn't want to fix the place with them in there I guess), so they were served with a notice that if they don't get out of the park by Sept 30th, that they would be evicted, there is also a small class action lawsuit against the park by a few other people(I'm not involved), the park looks terrible, and they aren't too transparent about what units need refurbishment, which are being worked on, and which ones are ready to rent, which is what was done here not long after I moved into this park under a different owner and manager.

The 2 friends did get accommodations elsewhere of course, the manager there is going out and buying a New Refridge for the mobilehome(He manages 2 parks these days), on Monday My 2 friends will get the keys from the manager at the new park, the manager there, was at one time the manager here, He made sure everything was transparent on a whiteboard, the 2 are going to be 9.2 miles from where I live. I know this, as I drove them where they wanted to go, they have no car yet.

The place My 2 friends are leaving has old fragile glass in the windows, that in some places has wood in place of glass, a hole around the swamp cooler(needs flashing, framing, drywall and insulation to keep the rain and weather out), one window that is boarded up, a sliding door that is hard to open and close and can only be locked from the inside(for months they had to use a chain to lock the sliding glass door).

Moving My place is something I want to do in 2019, but how do I get the money on My limited income to do that?

Moving a mobile home is $10 a mile, the move would be 55-80 miles, depending on the route taken. I can probably pay for the moving part, but the land, tear down, and setup? That could be a problem.

Yes I found a place that could move the place, plus do tear down and setup.

I found one place does land loans, but I don't need $50,000.00 and being the terms are 1-5 years, could be expensive, I just need $17,000.00 to $25,000.00 to buy the land, do tear down here, to move(Me and the mobile home), and to do setup at the new location, the land at the new location I feel I could get for $6,300.00(seller wants $9,999.00, there are 2 lots at this price, both have been sitting unsold for years), since it's bare raw land(It's flat or nearly and has been graded already, also there are people living next door), the utilities are all out in the street(Electric, NatGas, Water, and Cable, landline is there too, but I'm not interested in that), this is probably My best and maybe only shot at getting out of here, I don't want to walk away from My mobile home.

I thought I had heard of just about every dumb things people do except for this one...

Woman killed while riding on mattress on top of van in attempt to transport it
HAYMARKET, Va. (AP) — Prince William County police say a woman who was riding on an unsecured mattress on top of a passenger van was killed when the mattress and the woman fell off the vehicle.

The department said in a news release that 20-year-old Sidney Zelaya Gonzalez of Culpeper was riding on the mattress about 6:40 a.m. Friday in Haymarket.

Officers say while the van was traveling on Waverly Farm Drive, the mattress and Gonzalez came off the van. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the van driver, a 41-year-old woman from Culpeper they did not identify, stayed at the scene of the incident.

Officer Nathan Probus is a spokesman for Prince William County police. He tells The Washington Post that the women were trying to transport the mattress.
