Data Distribution State.......SETI@home #...Astropulse #...As of* Results ready to send............306,928...........0.....................0m Current result creation rate....0.8081/sec.......0/sec..............5m Results out in the field..........3,359,742.........40,311...........0m .. As I was looking at my cache and I have 1 AP left to crunch and there are 22 in the validation pending. So Naturally I looked at the Server Status Page in hope of seeing some AP splitting.. NOPE.. NONE Question is are those 40K APs out there unique WUs or do they count the doubles and triples that are needed for validation? I assume the latter. Same results ready to send the actual unique work orders would be close to half. Just trying to get more understanding of what the page means. Thanx Bob Sometimes I wonder, what happened to all the people I gave directions to? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SETI@home classic workunits 4,321 SETI@home classic CPU time 22,169 hours |

The "results out in the field" is the number of tasks that have been split, distributed, but not returned to be validated. Remember each Work Unit is initially sent to two users, and not all users will return their work in hours, indeed for many it is days. ...and don't forget that the SSP is only updated at about 10-20minute intervals, so it is only a snapshot of the status at an instant in time. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

not very many but hopefully I can snag a couple of them. I need to keep my MB cache lower I think. Bob edit: Snagged 7 APs, could be worse. 26 total, not including the ones on 2 rigs that are currently down. |
