Battleship It looks like it was made for a sequel, since that bunch of aliens looked like a scouting force, one that needed to call home for reinforcements. Broadcasting into space, like in the movie, We should not do, We don't know if there are friendly or hostile aliens out there, of course right now it's academic, since We have no confirmation that any aliens even currently exist. Watched 'Baby Driver' with Lori last night. It was my pick. No Academy Awards for this one, I suspect.....LOL. And Lori was not overly impressed. But I thought it was great fun. I love music, and the soundtrack was insanely good. And I am going to watch it probably several times more to catch the various bits of interplay between the music and the screen action throughout the movie. An interesting concept, well played, and it was as enjoyable as anything in the actual plot. The kitties give it 5 out of 5 meows. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

The Curse of Oak Island is back. I was thinking about why I watch. I know that, if they ever find a treasure it will be in the news, so we already know they haven't found it. But the history is interesting. They've discovered something that shows that Knights Templar may have been on the island as early as the 12th century. ~Sue~ |

"Comedians in cars getting coffee" The premise: Jerry Seinfeld rents a car that he feels suits his friend's personality, and goes to pick them up for coffee. Here's one online episode: https://vimeo.com/54271615 The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Just watched an old episode of Will & Grace where John Cleese was Minnie Driver's father. Minnie was just back on the new Will & Grace. It was Rosario's death and funeral. :-( The actress is still alive, btw. ~Sue~ |

Just got back from a matinee showing of "Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri". I quite liked it. Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson, and Peter Dinklage were all excellent in it, too! The trailer for the film isn't very good, so don't use that as a deciding factor for if you want to go or not. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Insomnia has me watching The Orville, first episode. Not bad. I had to laugh when one of the crew asked if he could have soda on the bridge, and they later showed him sipping it through a straw. I always did wonder why they didn't have cup-holders on those Star Trek bridge chairs, lol. ;~) The mind is a weird and mysterious place |
