Ignoring Facts? No. Just Human Nature. So there's at least one of each on these boards according to your perception of numbers. Hmmm, no wonder these boards are not safe :-) |

Numbers and Truth are not the same. No and the criminal is not limited to one crime! But I suppose that is how the NYPD gets its famous low crime rate numbers. Oh BTW, I'm not a child so I'm not a child rapist target victim. I think you will find it is a lot more complicated than that. And it is .3% |

@bobby, was this http://www.cato.org/blog/syrian-refugees-dont-pose-serious-security-threat what you had linked to? Yes. I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

As someone that grew up in a dysfunctional family, I have never felt 100% safe. A person in the city I currently live in has said "Sarge, you always have one eye looking over your shoulder." He's pretty much right. But, that has not made me paranoid and I can put these percentages in their proper perspective. I'm more worried about being hit by a careless motorist. As noted: Low percentages (numbers) do not tell the entire story. Perspective. Family lived near the early 2000s sniper attacks. Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes. |

Between 2001 to 2013 a US citizen was 120 times more likely to be killed in a violent gun incident inside the USA that be killed worldwide by a terrorist. |

As noted: Low percentages (numbers) do not tell the entire story. As an academic, I am definitely in my own universe. Looking over my shoulder means making sure the brane of another universe from another dimension doesn't collide with my brane as I spend too much time inside my brain. LOL! Now even FOX admits it! Take away the racism & xenophobia and Tump is catching others with LEFTIST policies. "She also assumed that a larger number of conservative Republicans would stick to their ideological guns and refuse to move left with Trump." http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/09/21/never-saw-it-coming.html[/url] Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes. |

"She also assumed that a larger number of conservative Republicans would stick to their ideological guns and refuse to move left with Trump." Hmm... Remember what I said a few months ago about the USA being in the middle of a realignment of political parties? Clinton(D) is moving somewhat towards the right. Trump(R) is moving somewhat towards the left. Has hell frozen over yet? :P https://youtu.be/iY57ErBkFFE #Texit Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016. Truth is dangerous... especially when it challenges those in power. |

I rode around through my retirement community today and this is what I saw. Possibly a dozen yard signs supporting Trump/Pence. That's a pretty small number but what was significant, there were NO signs or posters supporting Clinton. It is the same on the roads around here, lots of Trump bumper stickers but only rarely a Clinton sticker. In my area there are no (spit) Trump signs. Lots of Obama and Bernie bumper stickers though. Gary Johnson for President. |

Here's the answer. Select the most favoured for President. Twitter, Mark Murray, NBC - Ratings from latest NBC/WSJ Poll |

And some of them won't be voting for either, even if they're turning Clinton's line about Trump supporters into a gag. One of them was supporting Kasich. I'll bet he plans to go with Johnson now. "She also assumed that a larger number of conservative Republicans would stick to their ideological guns and refuse to move left with Trump." If a good portion of Trump's supporters knew which of his policies were on the left, they'd probably drop him like a hot potato and go for Johnson. Or, if they realized they like left policies after all. maybe go to Clinton or more likely Stein because they've been fed "Hillary, bad" for 24 years.
