No, you have told me three times that I am for wide open borders. So do you advocate totally open borders? How would YOU change immigration laws? Again, do you advocate open borders? In the version of English I was taught, a question mark indicates a question. I do agree this subject is dead here and you should start an Illegal Immigration Thread as no one else is interested on this one. It would appear the arbitrary, racists you have a problem with is the United States Legislature who passes all immigration laws(unless it's by Obama Executive fiat). That's the last I have to say on this subject. On another, it has been reported in the last 2 hours that in a telephone interview from custody, the Romanian hacker “Guccifer†who hacked Sidney Blumenthal's email stated he also compromised Hillary's 'secure' email server at least twice. And he's still singing like a bird. I wonder if 'ole Hil' still thinks it's all a joke. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Amnesty, for those presently here, is Pragmatism. And my position. Your dislike of "The Left" is clear for all to see. Who are the people that make up this group? I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

The Left is very Hateful and Disgusting. Well I know many people who consider themselves left wing. There are several on these boards, and I have found none of them to be either hateful or disgusting. Here in the UK and many other countries, the "left" is considered a valid political stance. |

The Left is very Hateful and Disgusting. A great many people consider the 'right' to be hateful and disgusting, especially around here. The same applies to the 'left', whether or not the 'left'ists want to admit it. Both the 'right' and the 'left' are all about power and control over the People by Elites. |

OK so it's semi-official it's gonna be Donald vs. Hillary... Unfortunately I still don't think Hillary can rope-a-dope Trump 'till November. If Sanders can bring out Hillary's natural-born-entitlement side... I fear Trump is gonna force Hillary into a mini-meltdown, then the press and Trump-allergic voters are going to pretend it never happened. Dunno if it'll be enough to make Don president but for now I see no reason it couldn't. Anyway, that's what my crystal ball is (still) saying. |

The Left is very Hateful and Disgusting. As you well know MK, the proper name for these people is "Totalitarians" They are neither left or right. People who call them left or right are intentionally insulting the left and/or right and appear to be trying to start a flame war. I like this list of similar forms or government from Wiki:
Fascism Imperialism Legalism (Chinese philosophy) Nationalism State capitalism State socialism Statism in Showa Japan Statolatry Welfare statism

Posted about it then. Because if he did get in then her "mishandling" becomes "transmission of" and her failure to know it happened is yet another possible charge. She is still laughing, her good buddy will just issue a full pardon or she will as her first action. But the legal issue is while she was Secretary, she had the absolute power and authority to declassify by herself. May be impossible to charge her because of that, and she is a lawyer so she can laugh. |

The Left is very Hateful and Disgusting. They do? Got any links demonstrating that to be the case? While Clyde occasionally calls "The Right" hateful and disgusting, it seems to me, he more frequently applies that kind of description to "The Left"; I'm not sure many other posters refer to entire groups in this way, at least not on a regular basis. Also, your critique of what 'left' and 'right' are about, is not, to me at least, very compelling, though that's probably a discussion for a different thread if you're so inclined. I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

A good example of the right side .....Cayman Island 0 taxes on Corps. Glenn, 'High taxes' is a bad thing... No matter what it is on. It does not really matter if Business are taxed, or the goods they produce are taxed. Same bloody thing, higher prices for people to buy the goods. Remember, Businesses do NOT pay 'business taxes'... Their customers do, in the form of higher prices. So, you see... It just does not matter. If a food business is directly taxed, food prices go up for the consumer. If food is taxed at point of sale, food prices go up for the consumer. Either way, the consumer gets screwed. |

The Left is very Hateful and Disgusting. Well as you seem to quite often get confused has to who posted what, I will put your very broad generalisations down to the same confusion. In case you are still confused I posted what you quoted not WinterKnight and as to knowing left wing supporters I was not referring to the UK. |

Oh Clyde, you just keep reinforcing our opinion of you. You just can't stay on track, 1 moment you're defending stupid things as "the American way of life" or it's "our American culture" and then in the next minute you back flip on same/similar stupid things with your useless left/right rants. Do you have a problem making your mind up on which is what? In the end none of them are satisfactory answers in any way, shape or form and I doubt that you could ever give a satisfactory answer (as we've yet to see 1) even if your life depended on it. Also it seems that lately you can't even remember who you're replying to. Is your memory slipping? If you can't start to do any better then you might as well give up trying to change that general opinion of you, but as usual I guess you'll just make this out as another name calling attack on you as you regularly do. As for Trump, if he wins that'll just make the U.S. a tie for number 1 spot of countries that are likely to destabilise the whole world (and havn't you guys done enough of that in the Middle East already?) or start WWIII. Cheers. |

Remember, Businesses do NOT pay 'business taxes'... Their customers do, in the form of higher prices. Yep the consumer gets screwed, the schools and roads the taxes pay for among other things have no value. |

Remember, Businesses do NOT pay 'business taxes'... Their customers do, in the form of higher prices. betreger, Of course, some level of taxation is a necessity. But, neither of the 2 examples you mention are paid for out of either of the two taxes I mentioned... 'Business taxes' or 'general sales taxes'. Schools are primarily paid for out of 'property taxes', and roads are primarily paid for out of 'fuel taxes'. OK, fuel taxes... In Texas we pay a total (State + Federal) fuel tax on gasoline of 38.4 cents/gallon, and 44.4 cents/gallon on diesel. Looking at my latest property tax paperwork, the school district has a tax rate of 1.476730% of the appraised value of my property... per year. As Gary mentioned in his reply to you, we don't seem to be getting our money's worth on the two items you mentioned. As to roads, the Government is working at cross-purposes here. On the one hand, they are encouraging vehicles with higher and higher fuel economy, thereby reducing the per-vehicle taxes on fuel. On the other hand, their policies are inflating the need for more and more transportation. As to schools, there is a nice correlation between the increase in the amount spent per pupil and the decrease in... well... academic ability and educational quality. What should we do? You seem to favor increasing tax rates and throwing ever increasing amounts of money at problems. I think, on roads, that we should be encouraging a lesser need for transportation through lifestyle and cultural changes. On education, again, lifestyle and cultural changes might be of more benefit than just pouring ever-increasing amounts of money into the educational money-pit. As far as business taxes go, the USA is tied for third-highest in the entire world (35% Federal). Perhaps we could stand to lower that rate somewhat. After all, if we become more competitive we might bring back some of the jobs lost to globalism, and might be able to break out of the wage-stagnation funk that the nation (except for the jobs at the very top of the ladder) has been in for decades. Higher taxes only screw the consumer through higher prices on goods and services, forcing many towards the bottom end of the ladder to make a choice... What should we do this month... eat? or pay the bills? Can't do both. |
