Just went in to Lamont to the hospital, check-up, all good.
Then.
LSM and I found a New Second Hand Shop and went crazy!
She got a smack of things that were fun for her to buy, and I
found three old science fiction books for .80 cents each. I got
Clarke's "Songs of Distant Earth."
F. Pohl's "Heechee Rondezvous."
Hold on to your hats, "Man-Kzin Wars" by Niven, Anderson,
and Dean Ing! Not to mention an old Laura Smith CD.
Gee, and it is only 10:20 or so in the A.M.

Man, Ian, you ARE having a good day.....

Man-Kzin Wars, Is a great series of books. Spoil alert. It about how humans in the distant future who have become pacifist, When they encounter a not peacefull alien race of sentient tiger like beings. Alter non weapons for good into weapons of war.

I read a few of the books in this series and have the StarTrek animated tie in on DVD too. Hint: Ancient Slaver Weapons...

I've read the Heechee book too, I've also read some books called Seetee Shock, Seetee Ship, by Jack Williamson, writing under the pseudonym Will Stewart. Seetee being slang for Contraterrene Matter or in todays terms, Anti-Matter.

You might also enjoy, if you haven't already, C.J. Cherryh's "Pride of Chanurr" series.

In WWII that was the 303rd Bombardment Group(inactive), the original Hells Angels, flying B17's for the US.

I got it made, my LSM is getting better and better every day,
now she is cooking and getting around, and enjoying her life
so much more. This is a big help to me, as you can guess I am
a very lazy person so it is good when we can do more together
stuff.
Then weather got warmer again so I can treat us both with a
nice BBQ today!

well, I'd love to BBQ today, but that is a bit hard in a thunderstorm, especially charcoal so it is a real BBQ and not a gas fired oven.

Thunderstorm here too, lots of that in fact, the tv got knocked off the air for a minute, the tv's back on now. Grace is at the window, rubber necking, as usual.

Yesterday I tried to make an omelette
for my morning meal, it didn't work so
well. I thought the bacon I chose was ok
to use but I was wrong. I was lucky to just
be very ill most the day. It looks like my old
body can still hold up to bad food, I am ok today!
LSM did not eat any so she is ok as well. I'll try to
launch that BBQ today...

No bacon here, though I do have eggs and sausage..

Grace as usual is on pre-wash detail.
