As always...LOL.
They do have a history of showing up in the strangest hours of the day.

For the last few hours the SSP claims to be splitting APs but I haven't been able to snag any.

Not sure, but from what I'm seeing each channel of AP splitting is greyed, meaning ended in error, so probably no usable result to send ...

Or for some reason, it was split, but the DB is down, so it can't be inserted into the DB or checked to see if it has been split before, so.. no response from DB = error in splitting.

Since the AP Science database shows disabled, one would presume that it was intentionally taken down by staff. Since it is now the weekend, I would not expect any changes until Monday.

But I'm prepared to be surprised.....

It's monday so You didn't get Your surprise.

Hopefully it's not so bad as it was November last year.

EDIT: It seems that new file has been uploaded to hopper, but nothing is splitted. Because of marvin is disabled?

EDIT 2: now it's splitted, but would we get any new WU's? Nope is my guess..

APs are being split but the first 12 channels ended in error, that does not bode well.

I've started to get some _0 and _1 tasks. Interestingly, I'm getting some _2s from the same tape. One of them was an "error while computing" 12 minutes after it was assigned, another was 'abandoned' after just 16 minutes. I haven't looked into the rest.

Those tasks are bittersweet. I always like to return that those ones first so that you can in an ideal world so you can fill your cache with work that will run for longer.

Obviously, I was being sarcastic. I appreciate the fact that I haven't crashed my rig lately and my RAC is back to where it should be. However, the APs are the only files that test my GPUs. APs run at very nearly 100% of capacity, otherwise I cruise along at around 65 to 75%, running 10 or 12 WUs at a time.

I am as addicted to APs as anyone else I guess.

Happy crunching! Peace!

This has been a good run for me all caches are full so I'm good for 10 days or so.

The project came back from today's outrage and a few more were split but now it seems they are all gone.

Performance Question / Suggestions?

AMD 4200+ 1GB ram, 750Ti
i5 2.9G, 12GB ram, 750Ti
The cards are identical, bought at the same time.

My I5 works great.

My AMD runs about 110% my i5 times on MB GPU tasks (which is fine, its a slower feeder, I get it)
But on AP tasks it is about 190% of my i5 times (big change).

Configs are identical.
-use_sleep -unroll 10 -oclFFT_plan 256 16 512 -ffa_block 12288 -ffa_block_fetch 6144

Any suggestions on what I should change to improve my AMD performance?

From what I understand these settings affect GPU, and not CPU, Mem or filesystem.

I was aware that you were being sarcastic, apologies if you thought I was being serious. It was interesting I had a task today that completed on my CPU that ran for 6 hours yet and was labelled the same as the task that completed in seconds you are not sure what tape it came from. Have a look in my valid tasks

I would love some APs right now. Not sure why I don't see more of them. Luck of the draw? Otherwise my rig is running as expected...

The last fresh APs I've seen were Sept 29th since then only 3 resends if this goes on for another 6 days I'll be doing MBs and they are not nearly as much fun.
