Significant El Nino Likely Through Fall & Winter

The latest El Nino diagnostic discussion was issued July 9th and climate forecasters are predicting at least a 90% chance of continuing El Nino conditions through this winter, and at least an 80% chance it will continue into the early spring of 2016. In fact, this could be a very strong El Nino…possibly stronger than the El Nino seen during the winter of 1997-1998, which was one of the wettest on record for parts of California and resulted in massive flooding.

We've had several flash flood alerts, of course this area gets very little rain and the county maintained flash flood control channel is as ready as ever..

Well, if my new personal weather station is to be believed, it is 90F, 30%H, with a Dewpoint of 54F. Wind is from the NW at 2 MPH.

is there an online one nearby you could compare with? Many schools and unis have them.

Yes, it seems to be fairly accurate compared to other stations within a few miles of me, but the temp is a little high, even with the solar fan that is part of the unit.

My main issue continues to be automatic uploads to Weather Underground. I talked to AcuRite this morning, and they didn't have an answer. WU has an email "help" address, and I've submitted my problem.

Glad to hear that the station is fairly accurate, best of luck with the uploads.

They were puzzled at AcuRite. My system has a direct connection to my router, and AcuRite is receiving the signal, but they couldn't explain the lack of upload to the weather site of my choice.
