108F is predicted for today, Wed 109F, Thurs 107F, Fri 110F, Sat and Sun 111F each day, cooling to 105F by Thurs.

One can get itchy rashes from heat, I had a rash today which might have been from some new kitchen towels or from the heat in My bedroom, I threw all of the new kitchen towels in the wash, so I think I fixed that, that and I washed My skin in the afflicted areas, arms and chest, that seems to have helped.

I definitely need more a/c here, the bedroom here is really warm near midnight. 10,000 btu is only supposed to cool 450sqft, so the back of the house is either hot or very warm, there goes another window.

Cheers.

Barstow CA, 106F, Humidity 2%, yeah it feels hot, 10,000 btu(83% of a ton, 12,000 btu is a ton in a/c terms I've read) a/c unit is not quite enough, I emailed the people who installed the one I have, so far I've not heard back from them, they may be very busy. I asked if they could come out and install a 2nd unit, since the 1st is barely making a dent in the humidity in here, and the back of the house is not being cooled, 10,000 btu's cools up to 450sqft from what I've read here, My mobile home is 810sqft in size, the weatherizing that I did does help, since I've seen My gas bill drop from about $65 a month in the winter to about $40 or so a month. I even mentioned a rash. Hopefully the CAPSBC will respond to My email.

I've got My floor fan on full power, a/c is on and set at 74F... 82F in here and 55% humidity. The temp here in Yermo CA is 106F and 3% Humidity, yuck.

It's hotter here.

The temp was 107F earlier and yes you are in the low desert possibly, it's almost always hotter there. I just don't quite have enough a/c.

I'm glad that I don't live in Texas, the ground is soaked, first they have too little water, now? Too much water..

Humidity doesn't get that high in the desert, that's a tropical environment or somewhere near the sea I'd think.

Beautiful day, low 70s. Lots of standing water left from yesterday's storms, though.

Turned off the AC this morning. Came home to the house being warmer than outside. One small window open didn't cut it. Opened that window wider and put a fan in it, and opened another window on the other side of the house a little bit. Hope it's enough to sleep.

Supposed to be just a tad warmer tomorrow.

Waiting for the deluge of rain from (former) Tropical Storm Bill to hit the DFW Metroplex later on this morning or sometime in the afternoon...

Via Texas Storm Chasers Blog:
At 1:45 AM (Central Time) the area of low pressure known as Bill is located between Austin and College Station. The low is moving north/northwest around 13 MPH.

* Most rain is located on the dirty side of the system located to the north and east of the circulation.

Predicting a beautiful, sunny, dry 73 tomorrow when I have nothing to do. 85 and humid on Saturday when I'm at the museum. Bleah.
