Hi,
1.What determines then number of tasks kept in my account on the server?
Time or number of entries?
It seems, it is keeping fewer recently.

2.Does the PhysiX driver do anything for crunching with a nvidia Card?
I believe it is not doing anything, but could someone please confirm?

Thanks in advance, guys!

As for number of tasks, you are limited to the amount of days you set 2,3,10 days.

And also 100 task for CPU, and 100 tasks for each individual GPU you have.

Thanks Brent,
Where do i set the number of days?

I do know about the 100 Task limit per type, but what i meant is the number of finish results on my account on the Server.

I should have said results, not tasks.Sorry.

btw :The confusion what a task and what a result is, exists on the server status page as well and nobody bothers to correct this.

Generally a task is referred to a workunit you are working on - not completed.

Finished results generally get deleted about 2 days after they are validated by the 2nd person.

AFAIK, with the old NV drivers you could choose (advanced installation) if NVidia's PhysX should be installed or not.
In this time I installed just the VGA card driver, because I don't play on the PC, just CUDA and OpenCL.

Also I know, from the forum that if you crunch just with CUDA or OpenCL apps on your NVidia VGA card, PhysX is not needed.
If you play games also, of course it should be installed. ;-)

Tasks (& results) overview of one of your PCs: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=7349323

Task sent to two PCs (the above one is yours): http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=1778284730
The above task 06dc12ab.491.10297.438086664201.12.154_0 which is currently on your PC: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=4124841985 - this change, if your PC calculated this task, it's a result.

If both PCs sent results which match, after ~24 hours the task (the results of two PCs): http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=1778284730
... disappears.

Tasks are only kept on the website 24 hours after they've been validated against another result from a different account, assuming they match closely. This means some tasks can be showing on the website for months while others could disappear within days.

No, PhysX does not help crunching at all.

No, PhysX does not help crunching at all.

But to be clear - I don't think it have any bad effect either.

PhysX files (PhysXCore.dll) just stay on disk:
\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Engine\

... and are started (used) only if some program (demos, games) need/use PhysX

Many games calculate physical interactions but not all of them (maybe only 'a few') use NVIDIA PhysX library to do this job.
