Just installed (finally!) 7.4.42 over 7.0.64 on one of my crunchers, and noticed that it is using a slightly larger typeface (on my full HD screen, that amounts to about 46 lines per Tasks screen versus the previous 52). Did I miss something? Is there a way within BOINC to change the font size? Thanks for any info... |

Yes, it does. No, you can't. |

Thanks, Richard. Just out of curiosity, why the change? Are we going full Windows 8 soon? |

The font in the tabs is hard coded, but can be adjusted in size by changing the DPI setting in Windows (100% .. 125% .. 150% at Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display). The font of the menu items (File, View, Tools, Advanced, Help) can be changed by changing the font of the Menu Item in Windows Color and Appearance. You can change the font and the size here. This will change the font and the size of all your menus in Windows (and possibly other programs such as browsers) as well. |

I knew this stuff, just wanted to know if BOINC had some internal setting I did not know about. No seems to be the answer. |

Or you could just use the previous version of boincmgr.exe if you liked how it looked better. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

If I start mixing files from different versions on one machine, I could maybe run into either incompatibilities or strange behavior...sounds like asking for trouble to me. It is complicated enough already, seems to me. |

Or you could just use the previous version of boincmgr.exe if you liked how it looked better. It's fine. The 'Manager' and the 'Client' are separate programs, and can be used independently - though you would have to set it up manually, they travel as a pair in the generic installer. |
