I'm going to assume you have already tried removing and reseating the GPU? If not then try that again. Next do a clean install of the Nvidia Driver downloaded from Nvidia directly Lets see if any of the others have any ideas that might help. Zalster |

With NV does running Display Driver Uninstaller help clear out issues when switching cards? SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

the thing I like about Display Driver Uninstaller is that if you use the default settings to wipe the computer of the driver, it blocks the automatic download of Microsoft's video drivers that might have incomplete cuda/opencl support |

OK, I installed driver v350.12 over v340.52 and it kicked in with CUDA42 app. First WU was 10:09 to complete, impressive I must say. Now the tweaking begins :D But I want to see if they validate first ..... |

It's time to say RIP R7 240, in 15 minutes you will be in a cold dark box after cleaning up your tasks. But don't worry too much, the power supply that has gave you so much energy will be beside you keeping you company. Time to upgrade :) |

Can I grumble now? Put the second 750 in my i5 and it wasn't recognized by BOINC. But computer was working just fine using it as a video card. Tried to install drivers "device is not compatible" , darn I just put that driver on my XP box and it worker fine, search forums, ok I will try this one, fail again, this one? fail. on about the 8th driver install I decided to zip tie a few wires up to make them look clean while it installs. ... and then realised .... you dumb ass, you didn't put the extra power plug on the video card !!!! EDIT: then it installed just fine. LOL silly things can drive you NUTS. |

I ordered 2 750's, Question, will my downloaded tasks for AMD run on the 750? Or should I run them out first? WoW, nice...is that for crunching or gaming with SLI? It was strange to me to see that Quadro2000 in my office computer outrated some more power hungry cards... :D maybe I should give up from GTX 460/470 & get some Quadro instead? :D non-profit org. To be on the safe side wait until the 750s arrive, then run the AMD tasks out. When you install the 750s make sure you use the Gforce/Nvidia drivers not those supplied by Microsoft.... Yes I did run out my AMD tasks first before putting in the 750ti. WoW, nice...is that for crunching or gaming with SLI? I'm not sure what you mean by that. I haven't played with any clocking options yet. I want to make sure they run error free before I do any changing ... AND THEY ARE :) I try to do tweaking changes at 00:00 UTC ... it just makes it easier to see that, on the 24th with this setting I got these results, on the 25th 26th with this setting I got this ... I installed v350.12 driver (some people didn't recommend it) but it's running just fine on both computers. |

I haven't seen one invalid/error task with the 750ti's They are working great, but I haven't pushed them too hard ... YET :) |

For what it's worth; as far as I'm aware the 750(ti) doesn't support SLI. ~W |

I took a look and there is no mention of SLI on my 750ti box. |

I haven't seen one invalid/error task with the 750ti's They are working great, but I haven't pushed them too hard ... YET :) Ditto. I have a pair of these, one on XP and one on Win7. Both really doing the job for the last couple months, and at sub-$150 hard to beat! |

Key words - "Used (ex) IT equipment". Several years old, they will have been powered for about eight hours per day, so their internal power supplies will have been working all that time. These boards will be heading towards the end of their lives. Even at 300/7 they are not worth it for crunching.
