... No. The UC Berkeley Academic Calendar identifies such days as "Academic and Administrative Holiday". The next one is May 25. Joe |

Yup, it went pear-shaped again :-( Replica server seems to be back online and in sync with the master server. Tom |

Yup, it went pear-shaped again :-( Well, something's not in synch yet. My tasks in progress pages are updating a bit at a time, still about 10 hours behind, but catching up slowly. EDIT... Replica now showing 28,392 seconds behind master DB. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

The replica DB is now "only" a bit over 5 hrs behind. |

Me, Fidel, and Raúl, need more AP's. I keep checking the SSP and APs continue to not be split. |

And if anyone was wondering about the 800mbit spikes on the cricket, whatever that data is.. it's going up the hill to the lab. Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

And if anyone was wondering about the 800mbit spikes on the cricket, whatever that data is.. it's going up the hill to the lab. Oh I'm sure there are plans for some serious database work during their 8 hour planned outage in 2 days. It could be backups. |

And if anyone was wondering about the 800mbit spikes on the cricket, whatever that data is.. it's going up the hill to the lab. The planned outage is on Sunday. If the boys are going to be doing database work they are student dedicated to the job to work on a Sunday. I most certainly thank them for their dedication & all the hard work. |

And if anyone was wondering about the 800mbit spikes on the cricket, whatever that data is.. it's going up the hill to the lab. I wouldn't count on anything being dome. Given the infrastructure in the colo is getting work. Which takes down all network connectivity in & out of the colo most likely. Yah, if the whole network is down, they are unlikely to have any access to the servers to do any maintenance even if they wished to do so. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." OK, anyone played 'Hunt the Crickets' yet? Not yet, I'd noticed our most recent one wasn't showing anything yet. Claggy |

I quit getting work and I can't return work done. Something broke, here or there. Edit: OK, they apparently did go ahead with the outage as discussed below. "It is often darkest just before it turns completely black." |

All task uploaded OK here and replacements downloaded. PS, you may need to "help them along" |

A new message I have never seen. 17/05/2015 3:52:41 PM | SETI@home | Not requesting tasks: too many uploads in progress Ohh well things will work though sooner or later. |

A new message I have never seen. Yup, I got that too: 5/17/2015 6:02:25 PM | SETI@home | Not requesting tasks: too many uploads in progress (Time is EDT) Maybe this message refers to the whole world wide project. I only have 14 tasks to return, not like the huge queues that the Pro's here generate! Just before that I also got: 5/17/2015 5:47:00 PM | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site 5/17/2015 5:47:04 PM | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down. This was all in response to a little "goose" to try to help things along. "It is often darkest just before it turns completely black." |

I guess the Cricket changed to some other node after the network infrastructure upgrade. It's still at zero, despite uploads and downloads working. I tried, but I can't find any data. Both inr-210/211 are silent: I tried 212 and up, but got "This page is temporarily out of service" - which may or may not mean "reserved for future expansion". For tonight, I'm assuming the network elves haven't got their graphers hooked up to the new 10 Gb routers yet: we'll find them tomorrow, or tomorrow, or... And so to bed in the UK also. |
