Hello ...

I have been an active member of SETI@HOME, practically since it's inception in 1997.

Today I realized for the first time that I am being presented as having been a member since MARCH 2014. Suddenly I understand why my statistics seem so be much lower than other, subsequent projects, I work with on my machines. They are! I have lost 16 years of work, and this is disheartening, to say the least.

Please halp me to regain my actual statistics. If this is not possible, then I have no other purpose to which I might apply my extensive computing capabilities.

Well, ok, "extensive" may be an exaggeration... however, while my computing capabilities are pretty much average or even below, it was indeed my longevity as an active member (even during my time as a homeless USAF veteran 2 years ago, and in 2001-2002), and work units with the associated ranking that made processing for SETI@HOME a very satisfying endeavor.

Thanks for the help, or at least an explanation!

OK ... after a bit of "research", it seems like I have a split personality...
What I've just written about concerns username "Psiberman". Perhaps "he" did join in March of 2014 (during homelessness).

However, uswername PsiberMan, joined in May of 1999 (Sorry about the mistake of "1997", in my initial post...).

I suppose I could just re-install SETI@HOME with the right username, but then I'd lose the 11 months of number-crunching done since then.

Which, I suppose, is preferable to losing 16 years' worth of work.

Now my question is this: Is there a way to join Psiberman to PsiberMan, that is, merge the former(small-case m) to the latter(capital letter "M") since "he" was here first, and is my dominant alter-ego...?

Thanks again!

Now, here I am again, with my dominant alter ego, as if it were necessary to prove myself...

Surely after all this time, I am not the first one to be trapped by a "case sensitive" problem like this...?

Anyway, thanks again for your assistance?

Merging or deleting accounts under BOINC is not possible.
Besides, the new account you posted with initially had no computers associated with it, and thus no credits.

It is not the user name that counts, if you look you will see many users with identical names. It is the e-mail address, you must have used a different one for the two "identities".

Unfortunately you cannot, merge them together.

So you will need to make a choice as to which one you keep.

As Ageless says the original account you posted with has no credit so it easy to "loose".

PS looking further, you seem to have aborted 8 tasks,

if you did this to "reinstall" Boinc it was not needed as you were crunching using the right account, but logging on here using the wrong one, the two actions are seperate.
