Winning after work... We have other friends who do Square Dancing and it looks Long ago, in my youth, our church did a square-dance for us young folks. Last Saturday of the month, pot-luck dinner, just enough adults to keep things from getting too rowdy. Lots of fun, good exercise. And with the change-partners calls, everybody got to dance with everybody else, so even us clumsy nerds got to dance with the pretty girls...... Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

I can look back over all the years that have gone by in my mind, and I can hardly recognize the young man I see there skipping through a happy dance. I loved it. Beep! |

The square dancing unit in gym class always got a groan from everyone, but it was actually probably one of the things I did almost adequately at. Never enjoyed it, though. They call it something else now. Social Dancing or something like that. I suppose it includes more than just square. Ping! We have other friends who do Square Dancing and it looks "Fun and friendship set to music" ...so even us clumsy nerds got to dance with the pretty girls... It's ideally suited to brainy types as you have to solve choreography problems in real time. Simple ones at first, of course, but at the advanced levels it has been likened to playing bridge....to music. |

We had an unfair advantage, one of our couches is an immigrant from Iceland, by the name of Angus McGregor. Before he Canadianized his name he was known as Snert the Wise famous Icelandic hockey maven! El-Beep-O! |
