I'm sure it will help in a long run, Here I don't turn my heat but I don't have to pay for the electric either. about the only thing I pay for is gas which is about $5 a month, phone and cable Which is like a home mortgage at this rate. I lived in Phoenix for 6 years and never could keep the place real clean, the bugs was out of control, had the yard sprayed every month but the people behind me did nothing and the bugs just would move back in. The heat got me the most and took a toll on me. so I moved west never to return. :) I was there when it hit 122ºF = 50ºC I melted when my AC craped out on my 35 miles drive home. When I got home I must of drank a gallon of ice tea and that's no kidding. Cheers everybody Life is short so don't sip Beer speaks, people mumble |

Actually the park where I'm at is right next to the i15 fwy here in Yermo CA, in any case I've got Clemmer Heating and Air coming out on Friday to get My gas heater back in operation, as My limit on My credit card almost doubled today, so I'll be able to return the portable electric heater to the park, which has been asking for it back, they have to wait 2 more days for the electric heater back, otherwise I won't have enough heat output, I spent $88.96 on My electric bill today. Grace will be happy, as the counter will have more room near Her water bowl. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

When I was there 25 years ago my electric bill to run my swamp cooler cost me just about $185.00 and water was pretty high too and I didn't use much. Here my electric, everything else comes with the rent other than gas and that nothing, I use the nuwave burner most of the time. Since I'm on air I can't use an open flame burner and the nuwave is my way out. It's hell getting old.[/quote] Cheers everybody Life is short so don't sip Beer speaks, people mumble |

I had a tech out here to fix My heater today, I'd just called the place today too, turns out they had a guy in the area, the gas heater works again all for $192.00... Next month put $200.00 or so into My card and the bill will be paid in full... Now I can return the portable electric heater to the park, I don't want it near Me... Looking again at -3 C here again tonight. No rain in the forecast until next week. But finally Cookietaster took care of the lawn. We also now have the first Solar Panal installation in my neck of the woods. Not cost effective for me yet, maybe someday. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Looking again at -3 C here again tonight. No rain in the forecast until next week. That is something I wish I could have, photovoltaic solar panels, but that would require land of My own, so that is still 7.5 years away for Me. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Drove through blowing snow to work this morning, heard they closed the road behind me for a while. Too much cold for me being on the road, I want zero snow and clear skies. solar pannels in AZ really work well, AZ, NM, TX can kick butt on power. In NM we had some that was turning out 125% power. Drove through blowing snow to work this morning, heard they closed the road behind me for a while. There's a guy down the road who has propane, photovoltaic and a wind turbine(He has access to the grid and to cable tv and landlines), but He has at least an acre of land... Here We have piped in nat gas and the grid, with cable tv and landlines, though I don't have a landline anymore, I use a cell phone instead... It is above zero right now, in two days it will be -30C or so, and there will be only a foot of snow on the ground if we are lucky! |
