Message 1688562 - Posted: 6 Jun 2015, 15:38:24 UTC - in response to Message 1688561.

A few minutes ago 2 kids aged 5 or 6 from a muslim country was playing on the yard. They was angry at some other kids.
Guess what they did?
They pointed at them with the middle finger and shouted "F**K YOU" in English.
I say the same to US Movie industry!
Only 30 years ago we didn't have obscene swear words!!!

Maybe not in Sweden, but I am pretty sure I taught most of the kids in my primary school how to say "f**k off" about 35 or so years ago. They needed to know.

Fy fan.
Since the US have a BIG influence on other countries I would like them to behave...

Bitch, bitch, bitch. So why isn't your government censoring that filth and not allowing it to be imported, or at the very least not shown to children? Sounds to me like you have an internal problem; like usual America is a fault.

Heard it all in playgrounds over 50 years ago. TV was just entering the mainstream & Hollywood as you stated was not that obscene, so why the angst against the US now?

By America then I assume the USA.
I dont blame the US. Only the Movie industry.
Censoring? We live in a free country where people can say anything as long it's not insulting! In any media.
That's a constitutional law we have had since dawn of time.
A reminder to the US.
The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten amendments that constitute the Bill of Rights.

I read you're little snippet of a story and wonder what those other kids did
to make those "2 kids aged 5 or 6 from a muslim country" so angry.
Is anti-immigration hatred spilling over from parents to children?

something to think about.

Swedish kids don't play on this ground.
Not an anti-immigration issue.

I don't know who Mara is off the top of my head.

But it seems you found a nice story about them.
While you may be right about Es being too far north (and, previously, across the pond), I do believe Es ... and Michel ... can be helped to see a big picture and they can help us. Often, we are talking past each other.

ES: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PneRfRYysPA. In this video, Latin Kings are referred to as thugs. (Warning to Es and all, profanity in the video.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTXq-Eqsd6w (I have not watched all of this fuller length video.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuKv03FnBoc

Gary: do either of the following 2 videos at all have to do with the culture you are talking about?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGqlrVmVULc

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLqpC_nrzEs

Note to all: my posting of these videos should in no way be construed as condoning either the views of those in the videos nor those against them. I post them for Es, Michel and others to get a better idea of the complex situation here in the USA.

Sarge, I don't think they are ready for the truth. Not that those videos aren't interesting and revealing.

Is using financial success a racist measuring stick? Scotty, beam us over. We are now on an island in the South Pacific. We are in a culture where the language does not have a word for the ownership of property. It never developed money. The people are happy and they have food (until global warming, but that is a different issue) Scotty, beam us back. Is using financial success a racist measuring stick?

As to black ghetto culture, as opposed to the suburban, cleaned up for white folk version of dances and the rest, I see a couple of differences. The first thing I see different in black ghetto culture is that it does not have to the same degree what I'll call a mid-west work ethic. Not to say that they don't work hard, but there is more that just hard work involved in the mid-west work ethic, call the rest work smart. That is the minor of the two. The major difference is a lack of self respect. The videos Sarge posted talk to that.

Someone here used the word inferior. To make a value judgement, you need a measuring stick. So lets trot out financial success. Hold it up and take a measurement. South Pacific Island, fails, ergo must be inferior. Huh? Well, maybe you have just discovered another of your internalized racist attitudes. You are the one who wants to measure and judge and use the word inferior so [yes you are]

Just for fun lets grab a different measuring stick. Lets use Charles Darwin's measuring stick; Survival of the fit. Hold it up to the South Pacific Island. Passes. Hold it up to black ghetto. Passes. Hold it up to Wall Street fossil fuel companies. Fail, global warming and mass extinction. Must be an inferior culture! Huh? But it passes the financial success measuring stick?!

I have no idea what that has to do with him being muslim or not. I've seen kids of all races do some horrible things..and kids of all races do wonderful things. I really have not noticed in all my years of teaching almost every race under the sun, any way of predicting which kids will be nice and which ones will make you want to set them on fire.

It's really nice of your community to have separate playgrounds for
Muslim kids, and Swedish kids.
It's considerate of the Muslim kids to use a language that all can understand.
If the Romani beggar thought it was OK, then who are you to quibble?lol

We dont have separate playgrounds for ethnic groups!
I wasn't even talking about Childrens playgrounds.
The play in our open space.
There are no Swedish kids playing here because there are none.
Muslim kids here know two languages. Arabic, Turkish, Kurdish or Farsi and Swedish.
English they learn from our TV mostly american tv shows!
The Romani beggar was not the person who thought it was OK!
It was that f***g young teenager muslim who thought it was.

Why blame the movie industry for teaching people swearwords? I mean, at worst they get taught something like 'b*tch' and 'f**k you'. Then they go online, and oh boy, the swear words they will pick up from going to the wrong site.

We didn't have swearwords before the Movie Industry?
Please understand, if possible: People are not 'Inferiors', who must be protected, by their self-styled 'Superiors'.

We didn't have obscene swearwords until the 80's when many american entertainment companies started to export them to us.
Now all kids and even muslim kids use them.

Dafuq (hehe, see what I did there?) are you talking about? All I said is that even without the movie industry people will pick up a wide range of swearwords from everywhere else.

Obscenities were around long before radio, TV, Cinema or the Internet, so they can't be held responsible :-)
