Up and running - normal WUs only, no AP yet- |

Yeah, it'll still be a while for APs. Today is the day it was estimated that the DB table would be done being populated, and then there's ~24 hours of index-building. So.. MAYBE it can start being split on Monday, but more than likely, they'll wait until after the Tuesday maintenance to turn that on. Personally, I would start with running the validator and assimilator before turning the splitters on.. try to clear out the backlog before adding new WUs into the mix. So there's a plan.. if it's ready on Monday, validate and assimilate, then do deleter and purge before going down for maintenance, back up the DB, then come back and unleash the splitters. But also remember that Eric said that the process was also slowing down so it could be longer and then there'd be the test to make sure that it works as it should before unleashing it. It'll happen when it happens and no sooner so just be patient. ;-) Cheers. |

And then there will be a AP feeding frenzy like never before, a chance for RACs only ever dreamed of. Grant Darwin NT |

One to watch- 08oc14ad 2 splitters on the one file, yet still 12 others ready to split. Grant Darwin NT |

One to watch- How do you know that? It does not appear to be shown on the Server Status page... are you given certain Forbidden Knowledge by the SETI Gods? |

One to watch- Normally having 2 or 3 splitters operating on 1 file only hurts the production rate and the AP splitters are bigger offenders of this than the MB 1's, though you would think that something could be done to stop that from happening. jravin, you can tell by the size of the dark green section of the progress bar on a file and by how many other files are being split. ;-) Cheers. |

Looks like it's gotten over that & started on a new file. Will keep an eye on 08oc14ad in case the other splitter is stuck on it. I'm wondering if they're limited (or killed off) the ready-to-send buffer. Caches are only about 1/3 full, but the number returned per hour has finally levelled off around the usual 70-80,000. Yet every time the ready-to-send buffer gets more than a few hundred in it, the splitter output drops off. After a while it then cranks up again, till a few more hundred are in the ready-to-send buffer, then it dies off again. EDIT- my requests for work reflect this, generally it takes 3-5 requests to get some work to replace returned work, then you get it all at once. Grant Darwin NT |

Well there's plenty of WU going out, amazing just how many are shorties though.. Still can't complain after the recent drouth as I've had a few longer running WU as well. Guess its all grist to the crunching mill:-) Regards, Cliff, Been there, Done that, Still no damm T shirt! |
