I suggest you visit victims families & preach to them. I wonder how long you will remain standing? So you want to debase our civilization just to give grieving people a small fleeting moment of satisfaction? An empty gesture that aside from a very short moment does little to help them get their lives back? And which in the future causes more crime and creates more victims? Yeah, you should rethink your priorities perhaps. |

Enjoy Heaven and your 72 Virgins. :) He may be disappointed: Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

NOPE to all those questions. Its so they can impose economic sanctions on a country who could care less about santcions. They can only not care about it for so long. Sanctions do not produce immediate results, but given enough time and provided the West is willing to uphold those sanctions long enough, it could become a serious problem for the Russians. But thats not what NATO is for. NATO is there when the Russians try something in the Baltic states. And just because they are conscripts and not payed often dose NOT lessen them as a combat force. Hitler found that out the hard way. Oh yes it does. Just look at the casualty figures of WW2. Hell, look at the casualty figures of individual battles. The Germans lost, sure, but the Russians had to pay a very heavy price for every kilometer of advance. It remains to be seen whether the Russians would have won the war if it wasn't for the British and American material support and the fact that they opened up a second and a third front. Sorry, but good equipment and well trained and highly motivated troops can handle a much larger enemy force consisting of badly trained, badly equipped, badly led troops with bad morale. If history has proven one thing over and over again its that. |

Just a question, I have asked many of my male friends: Given those narrow constraints, i'd choose the latter. Is 36 of each an option? Purely for comparative purposes. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

Just a question, I have asked many of my male friends: Have the porno stars been tested for AIDS and STD's? On a more serious note, have any of you realized that having 72 virgins in Heaven means that slavery is condoned in Heaven? |

Have the porno stars been tested for AIDS and STD's?If i'm already in heaven, what's the worst that could happen? Would i die again? Then where do i go? On a more serious note, have any of you realized that having 72 virgins in Heaven means that slavery is condoned in Heaven?Slavery is condoned in the bible (Leviticus 25,44-45 IIRC), why wouldn't it be in Heaven? Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

These are the words of a good man in Western Culture ... We are. That book is still the number one best seller. 5 Billion copies. So yes we are talking about a current culture. Three major branches of the followers of Abraham's God still refer to that work, Muslim, Jew and Christian. While not every place of worship preaches that passage every day, I suspect the Westboro Baptists may. So yes, it is current. |

These are the words of a good man in Western Culture ... I notice it is the non-fiction section. Is that the correct section? |

I notice it is the non-fiction section. Is that the correct section? That is a different discussion and IIRC one Costco put it there and got hammered. http://www.buzzfeed.com/alisonvingiano/costco-accidentally-labled-the-bible-as-fiction |

These are the words of a good man in Western Culture ... Same one you do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zxQD3pdI5Y They are out there. They want to take over, just like every other religion based on Abraham's God. Many will fail, but unfortunately I'm not sure all will. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fundamentalist_Church_of_Jesus_Christ_of_Latter-Day_Saints http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westboro_Baptist_Church http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fundamentalism |

What Universe do you live in? Not the right thread for it but I love to discuss this subject with you one day, Clyde:) Carry on... [edit]Actually it IS the right thread! Religion and, or rather as it is experienced, as beings in the Universe... Science is also a political topic. rOZZ Music Pictures |

What Universe do you live in? Maybe we live in different parallell universes. Hugh Everett III was an American physicist who first proposed the many-worlds interpretation of quantum physics, which he termed his "relative state" formulation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugh_Everett_III His son Mark Everett AKA 'E', who became frontman of the rockband Eels, participated in a documentary about his father from BBC Four. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnnA3sgMXCI&list=PLCC3E96026C6FE8E7 |
