Hello everyone! Good to see beer o clock is being covered over a fair portion of the globe at the moment! :)

Must say, this weekend feels like a holiday!! :) Hoping I can eke out one more day and accept delivery of my mum on Tuesday instead of tomorrow :) Be REALLY nice to see her... T U E S D A Y :)

Anyway, going to beer myself now... am wondering if it will help ease the rather stupid injury I just gave myself... or whether I'll be even more likely to stand up underneath a glass table again...

... still can't remember what I forgot this morning but never mind...

Cheers everyone! :)

Welcome back, Julie. I assume the Eiffel Tower met everyone's expectations.

Thanx Jim:) Lisa and I went all the way to the top. We took the stairs to the second floor. We had to take the elevator from the second floor to the top.

Here's a pic from frog perspective:

This is the view I got from the top, just fabulous!

Beer o'clock in 7 hours...

Spectacular pictures, Julie! Paris looks amazing from up there!

I can just picture -- some time in the future -- all of us at table(s) in
an outside restaurant/cafe on the Champs-Élysées. I don't think that
Paris would ever be the same. At least, the citizenry would know that
those looking for alien life, would know how to enjoy their own, to the
fullest.

Well, I would just like to say that while most days that I post about Jager O'clock; when the time comes I regularly have NOT partaken. Yesterday I DID partake. I had one double shot of Jager at about 5 or 5:30 PM; had dinner, watched some TV, and went to bed early. I woke up at 2 AM with a gout attack in my left foot's big toe. OUCH!!! Took gout medicine, took it again at 4 AM and when I got up this morning, thankfully the gout had gone. Gout is the main reason I don't drink often. I still have 5 bottles of New Castle Bombshell from last year in the fridge in the garage...

I wont entirely give up on alcohol; just that I will continue to be careful with my consumption because of gout. However; it won't stop me posting in here, like I usually do, about Jager O'clock.

Virtual Jager o' clocks are definitely a good idea to help with the gout. Sorry to hear that though TL :( Know it's supposed to be really painful... :/

Gout is VERY painful. For me it hurts most when it's in my ankles. It makes standing VERY VERY difficult. I'm not entirely sure which is worse; gout attacks or kidney stones. I had one kidney stone in 1991 from dehydration... THAT WAS PAINFUL!!! It's a toss up, ankle gout; or kidney stones... At least I haven't had a recurrence of kidney stones. (Thank God.)

Thanks for the well wishes Annie. :-)

TL. My boss, at Data General, would only take personal leave during the
Boston Marathon. Being from Hopkington, he'd just stay at the "start"
line -- and drink a few beers to see everyone off.

Then, he'd have to take a few more days of leave, until his gout subsided.

Amazing -- He was a true creature of habit. That was the only time during
the year, that he drank.

Well Annie, those parts on my workbench didn't put themselves together yesterday, so I did it this morning and no.2 PC is just doing its updates before I install the rest of the software.

I may even get started on no.3 PC this afternoon/evening, but then again I may leave that for tomorrow morning.

Hello Grant, Gordon, Jim and TL.

2hrs to go until LLB.

[edit] Gout, I get that when I've had to many tomatoes and in both big toes. I love tomatoes, but sadly they don't seem to love me very much. :-(

Cheers.
