Still scary MK. Yes, Sirus, it *IS*. Especially knowing the hospital he is in. I've been there visiting patients a few times over the years. Not... Impressed... I'm glad I moved away from Dallas about a year ago. |

"The patient is believed to have had a handful of contacts with people after showing symptoms of the virus, and before being hospitalized, Frieden said. A CDC team is en route to Texas to investigate those contacts." And what have I been saying all along? That all flights out of infected countrys should be quarantined. So Now its in our backyard. Wonderfull. And one of the reports I read that he went to the hospital and was sent home. So now we have more people exposed to Ebola. Wonderfull again. Just think about how many people you interact with in a normal day. Now wonder who was exposed to ebola. And what EU country will be next? [/quote] Old James |

Isn't the middle east supposed to be out of oil by now? I read twenty years ago that there was only about ten years worth of oil left in that region. The was ten years worth twenty years ago, there's ten years worth today and there'll still be ten years worth in another twenty years. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

Still scary MK. No spreading danger until someone hops on board a plane to visit relatives in another country. Oh hang on a minute, that's what happened: According to Dr Frieden, the unnamed patient left Liberia on 19 September and arrived in the US the next day to visit relatives, without displaying any symptoms of the virus. Still scary MK. I heard on the radio that industrial countries can beat Ebola easily because of the good hygiene in hospitals over here. If let's say, India gets contaminated with it, it would have the same results as in Africa... rOZZ Music Pictures |

Still scary MK. I'd take what I hear with a pinch of salt. How many thought this outbreak would be another small and isolated one. In industrialised countries we may have better facilities to deal with it but without containment you get the above. Time will tell if the individual has infected anyone else. My plan is to stay home 99% of the time. Oops. I already do that. I also plan to stay away from hospitals and theme parks, like Disney World. Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events. |

I'm glad I'm 6,000 miles away. Saying that, we only need a similar situation here & this island is screwed! |

Neither am I, but I am aware that one slip up & Ebola could become the largest & most deadly pandemic ever to hit mankind. Regardless of how the "industrialised Countries" are protected with their "excellent" medical services, Man is not perfect. As it stands, the worst country for it to endure an uncontrolled breakout is America. All those lovely citizens with their guns, what a scenario! |

Still scary MK. Possible case 2: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/10/01/texas-ebola-patient/16525649/ Also, several school-kids among those exposed by case 1. I hope that they are being kept home from school. If it gets to a school, it will spread like wildfire. |

Neither am I, but I am aware that one slip up & Ebola could become the largest & most deadly pandemic ever to hit mankind. Not good enough! You have the funds to attack IS mercilessly but no funds or courage to attack this disease with the same commitment? Your fellow citizens are asking for those countries to be quarantined & any outbreaks in the States to be contained. If it ever reached the point that praying at that time is required, it's too damned late! |
