Why do you care about internal problems of The U.S.A.? He doesn't as 99.99% of American's don't either. They don't see Hollywood as being any sort of official position of America, and having lived here know the difference between entertainment and government as they have experienced first hand the true bile freedom of the press brings. Now I know every once in a while the Christorats and Christobags get their moral knickers twisted in a knot over some outrage or another and blow a lot of stinking hot air, rarely does it amount to more unless the UN is behind it. But that is a problem where ever there are holier than thou types. |

Why do you care about internal problems of The U.S.A.? I was thinking more about your government spying on..well pretty much everyone... ..and the way you meddle in the internal affairs of countries all around the world. Perhaps Americans are not aware of what their government is up to internationally? Reality Internet Personality |

Finacial Times - Drug pricing: Bitter pill free subscription required When delegates turned up for a big healthcare conference at New York’s plush Waldorf Astoria hotel in February, they were met by placard-wielding activists. Gilead agreed to sell the drug in Egypt, the country with the world’s highest prevalence of hepatitis C, at a 99 per cent discount to the US price. The move was aimed at heading off the kind of controversy faced by drugmakers in the 1990s when the industry was accused of keeping HIV medicines out of reach of poor Africans. US drug prices are high because, unlike in most other countries, the government does not use its purchasing power to contain them. There is nothing like the UK’s National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (Nice), for example, which acts as a gatekeeper for new medicines. |

Just Reread the posts of American's on the Message Boards. Almost none care about, and rarely comment, upon the Internal Working of other Country's. Yet despite your lack of interest in the internal workings of another country, your government sees fit to meddle in the internal workings of other countries. |

AGAIN... Just because people like to discuss something doesn't mean they are obsessed with that subject. Tell me, are people who read tabloids obsessed with the private lives of celebrities or do they just have a passing interest in what goes on in Hollywood while they are waiting for a hair cut? |

Really. I have seen a lot in this Forum:) For some reason it always turns out be a American (US) vs Europe discussion. I think I saw a thread here called American vs Europe . Relax CLYDE. "We people" have interest in the US. TGIF Cheers! |

OK. For one, you do. Are you not talking about the Israel-Gaza conflict? Didn't you post in the Crimea thread? Those are internal affairs of other countries. And if I were to start a topic about racism in the Netherlands you would be free to weigh in and it wouldn't bother me at all. Secondly, why do you care if non Americans discuss the US on an internet forum? Its not breaking any site rules, and for someone who keeps harping on about how much you love freedom of speech, you should only be glad if people use such a freedom to discuss whatever they want to discuss. Thirdly, the fact that you are bothered by the fact that non Americans talk about the inner workings of the US shows that you don't think particularly highly of the views the non Americans bring to the table. |

I can still here the words of the New Yorkers after 9/11 . Why do they hate us ? why did they do this ? and you still haven't figured it out yet , maybe your should start thinking what is happening to internal affairs of other country's then you might just relise your gov is the problem and the people you elect into power and just maybe you may learn a few things and start to change . Your people are part of the problem as it is you that elects theses evil men |

Therefore, stop lecturing The US regarding our problems. You have NEVER fixed your problems, which led to 10's of million murdered, and will probably lead to millions more. Indeed nicely put. Now let me predict his response "But the millions of people US foreign policy murdered are fine because I never said the US is perfect and we recognize that which is why we have no government just sovereign states that recognize power always goes bad unlike you stupid Europeans who trust in good governance". Oh, and Clyde, I'm going to lecture you on US internal affairs as much as I want. Free speech baby, YEAAAHH! |

Whilst I agree the title of this thread could lead to an off topic discussion. As the original post was about drug companies and health care I really fail to see what the last dozen or so posts have to do with that. Can we at least stop the USA vs "The rest of the world" sniping. And no I do not suggest starting a thread about that! A little closer to the original topic please. |
