Things I have learned today....

A new five pound note will survive a wash cycle,

but a sealed packet of paper hankies won't...

Has anybody else accidentally given their wallet a spin at 1000 RPM?

I thought 35612 was if a woman gives you "that look" do you:

A: Run for the hills as wrath is about to be dispensed

B: Tell a knock knock joke

C: Get numbers mixed up due to bank holiday beer

You don't bother with A, B, or C, you just say, "Ok you've pulled, get your coat, your place or mine?"

Well, it was in the 60's .....

So they tell me .....

Seems I heard that a few times when I was out with some of my younger shipmates in Dunoon in 79-82. Myself, I declined more than a few offers from the Scots lassies - had a gal back in Charleston and didn't want to mess that up.

Oh look, it's about lunchtime.. I could do with a pint of red ale and a bacon cheeseburger, please. Thanks much.

A bunch of paper napkins kept in my back pocket for the same purpose didn't fare too well in the thunderstorm on Saturday, even though I was only out in the worst of it for a minute or so.

I'm just glad my radio, in the same pocket, and my phone, in the opposite pocket, survived without harm.
