Double edit: Have you tried sleeping on the floor?

No, not with my back pain.
I think my wife would call me crazy if i did.

In the "old days" Mike, by that I mean the 30's/40's, people used to physically unscrew a door off it's hinges and put it under the mattress. to help cure bad backs.

We still did that in the 70`s.
My back dont like it tho.

Hrmph... he won't be back on the ward till gone 9... and visiting hours end at eight so :(

Suppose I'd best think about beer o'clock then :) oh... and dinner... which fortunately is left overs flung on some plates. I'm reckoning... if I put out enough plates (say seven or eight) I might get lucky and actually hit three - which is all I need :)

Cheers everyone! To doors - no matter where they are :)

Um... you may need more than a minute actually... some are... well... quite tenacious, particularly the ones that ball-up and look like albino frogs...

G'Morning all, need to to goto the Hospital soon, Oh how I love the food there. :O~. You know if I went to KFC and picked up 100 boxes of chicken I could sell all of then in mintues at a good profit? :))

Beer O'clock is only when I can get to it today.

I hope your GF is doing better, Grant. I actually have enjoyed the hospital food I've been sharing with my mom over the past few months. It's hard to mess up eggs, and their chicken-fried steak is very good.

...one of our local hospitals can very easily mess up eggs :-( Even boiling a kettle of water for a cuppa appears to be beyond the catering staff's ability set.

Yep... it's like they melt the kettle into the cup at our local one :/ then strain it out... if you're lucky

Did you enjoy the swimming today Julie? :)

I'm REALLY starting to get annoyed with my fire alarm. When it's not going off for no reason at all - it's going off when I already know there's a fire.. like just now... when my wooden spoon caught fire. Honestly! Ears are still ringing!

I guess I'm not a real cook because I've never used a wooden spoon. I think my mom has one.

when my wooden spoon caught fire.

Oh good grief, you need a culinary chaperone ....

:)))))))))))))) do they come fitted/armed with fire extinguishers as standard? :)

@Gordon - good to hear she has one Gordon - obviously... I haven't been to America... yet... :)

Edit: The last time I used it it got stuck in a jar and wouldn't come out, which was perplexing as there'd been no significant problems in getting it in there in the first place. Anyway - cheers!! Again!! :)

Your first stop, (when you do come to America), is the SF Bay area to see Uli, Grant, Carlos, and I. ;-)

Royalty? I'd need some serious tutoring on etiquette Uli - I mean - I struggle enough walking forwards sometimes - I dread to think what might happen if I had to bow out of their presence backwards... :)
