Hi, I want SETI to run at a fast 60+ fps. When the program first initializes, for about 3 seconds, the SETI user interface, the original interface, runs over 60 fps. After that, it's rather rough and jumpy, in about the 10-30 fps range. I simply need to know the settings to achieve this fps, and still give good computing power to the program. I run an intel i7 4770k, (tried overclocking, no difference), an AMD sapphire r9 280x 3gb graphics card, 16 gb of corsair vengeance ram, asus z87 motherboard pro, samsung 250gb ssd (tried installing on the ssd, also no difference), and a 1000w power supply. Any game that is out I can run max settings, and have no fps issues. I also have a water-cooled system, cpu, gpu, ram, hdds, and ssd, etc...(including a large case) so heat cannot be the issue either. Does the program not run at 60+ fps, or are my settings jacked up? Or do I simply not have enough computing power? SETI only runs when the pc is not in use, and uses 100% of everything. If any more info is needed, please let me know. P.S. Why, may you ask I want to do this? Because the aesthetics of interface look gorgeous, and I built my rig for everything to look very good, including this. It's also a very nice screen saver! :D Thank you! |

When in your project preferences what is the setting for Graphics preferences? try setting this to Custom, then saving changes to the web site, before editing them again. That'll open a lot of options to work on. |

I tried all of these options. The frames are better, but not perfect :P Granted, I'm a perfectionist, so I suppose I can live! |
