I've heard of Nicoise salad, but never known what is, actually.

It is a yummy salad that has oil packed tuna, boiled potatoes, blanched green beans, anchovies, olives and hard boiled eggs in it. The dressing I make has olive oil, champagne vinegar, a tiny touch of honey, salt, pepper and lots for chopped fresh thyme, which is an herb that grows well where we live.

...I think I am going to use some of that cream to make home made ice cream next week...

YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need to broaden my horizons and try Nutella, too.

Well. Calling it food is an overstatement. Perhaps together with icecream and not as itialians making sandwiches with it like a peanut butter sandwich.
Ingredients: Sugar, palm oil, hazelnuts, fat-reduced cocoa powder, skimmed milk powder, whey powder, emulsifier (lecithin, vanillin)

Well if one can eat it and not get poisoned and/or sick, it's food...

Anyone eat anything lately?

Last night I made Nicoise Salads for dinner and served them with an unoaked chardonnay.

Tonight we felt like having dessert for dinner so I made crepes filled with Nutella, topped with raspberries that had been tossed in a bit of Chambord. On top of that I put a bit of sweetened whipped cream and some chocolate shavings. Gee, I wonder why I never lose any weight...

Impressive. I had spaghetti.

Anchovies are delicious little salt-bombs.

Do you like Caesar Salad? Anchovies!

How about Nicoise Salad? Anchovies!

Partial to Bagna cauda? Anchovies!

Do you put Worcestershire sauce in or on anything you cook? Anchovies!

Do you cook with Vietnamese or Thai fish sauces? Anchovies!

Fan of tapenade? Anchovies!

Want to perk up some deviled eggs? Anchovies!

Chefs often add a bit of anchovy paste to dishes in order to kick up the umami (savory) dimension of a dish.

Most people who think they do not like anchovies have enjoyed the taste of anchovies disguised in other foods.

Pizza Hut? They don't sell pizza.
They sell sandwiches with pizza like toppings.

Here is real pizza makers.

Now Italy wants to regulate pizza makers in the EU and want them to be licensed.
Pizza makers around Napoli are very proud of their tradition.

I'm sorry, greasino's and greasy hut and their ilk simply don't do anything for me.

Costco has edible stuff they call pizza, but http://www.originaldomenicos.com/ is finally in the pizza class, oh you can get some other good things there too.

I'm not a member and the nearest Costco is in Victorville, about 50 miles down the freeway, that's 100 miles worth of driving for a Pizza, sometimes one just doesn't feel like cooking. For Me eating out won't be until about March 2016 I think.

If I have to settle for a frozen pizza, I usually go for a Tombstone Mushroom and Sausage.
Also had a Screamin' Sicilian deluxe the other day...that was pretty tasty.

When Lori and I have a DVD and pizza night, then it's Papa Murphy's. Their Cowboy pizza, take and bake at home. They are VERY generous with the cheese and toppings. We always get extra black olives for her, and extra mushrooms for me.

We get a 'family size', and eat about half of it on Saturday night and have the leftovers for dinner on Sunday. So it turns out to be a rather good deal for two nights of dinners.

I'm not surprised about the fish sauce, and I do love Thai food! I am a little surprised about the Worcestershire sauce.

That said, I still can't see myself ordering anchovies on pizza, anytime soon. :~)

Anchovies gives a good dose of umami that sometimes is called the fifth taste.

Pizza Napoli {Pizza With Anchovies}.

Toppings:
1 1/3 Cups Prepared Quick Tomato Sauce
3 Cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
8 to 10 Small Anchovies
2 Tablespoons Salted Capers, Rinsed
1 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
