Nalley "Not too sweet," said one taster. I look at labels too, that's why when I make spaghetti, I buy Prego spaghetti sauce, it has the least sugar in it, lower is not available here. Salt, yeah, I think too much is added to food in the US, I buy frozen veggies, never canned. I only add salt to My eggs and nothing else. If one does buy canned veggies, rinse them(blanching) in a colander and then add water out of the tap using the can the veggies came from as a measuring device(unless the water comes from a well laced with arsenic, then bottled would be better), it's a trick My Mom taught Me. Nalley "Not too sweet," said one taster. Or perhaps this. It seems that the Eskimos were the only one who used the salt with a clear conscience, since they used sea water when cooking. A writer once wrote in 1896: "... large doses of salt can cause vomiting, diarrhea, stomach inflammation and even death ..." Then he has the example of a person who has taken ½ kg. salt in 0.5 liters of beer, 24 hours before his death. One reason that salt was still appreciated, despite all warnings and the "evidence", could have been due to the salt was purchased goods, ie imported goods. |

Chili is not okay, it is disgusting. In my opinion, of course. I do not like any aspect of it. Well, okay, ground beef is fine... until the slightest bit of chili powder hits it. I hate all forms of chilis. Did you have a bad experience with chili peppers, other than in chili itself? I mean, was there another food that had that seasoning you didn't like, or did you eat a raw chili pepper and get turned off by it? I like to take a bell pepper, slice off the top, and stuff it with things like tuna or cottage cheese. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Carrot stew that was cold and tasting awful. And I was forced to eat it.... I can't eat carrots since then. My GF cannot eat pickeled herring because she was also forced to eat that at school. In her case it was pickeled herring on a piece of bread together with a glass of milk. Yeck :( |

My GF cannot eat pickeled herring because she was also forced to eat that at school. ( Perhaps not scary. The combination of pickeled herring and milk is awful and disgusting. |

My GF cannot eat pickeled herring because she was also forced to eat that at school. I almost accidentally got a breaded chicken liver patty at a cafeteria, once. It looked like chicken-fried steak. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

My GF cannot eat pickeled herring because she was also forced to eat that at school. ( LOL A 2002 survey showed the average American will have eaten 1,500 of PB&J sandwiches before having been graduated from high school. And we have the Elvis sandwich. |

My GF cannot eat pickled herring because she was also forced to eat that at school. My Dad and Brother both liked liver, Where as My Mom and I did not, as to My Sister, I don't know if She liked liver or not, I never asked and now asking would get no answer('46-'99). I hate all forms of chilis. I just don't like either the heat or the taste. I used to eat green bell peppers in small amounts, but I don't even like those much in the last few years. I never liked liver and never even tried to eat it for many years. In her last year, my mother asked me to make her liver, and I tried a bite. I still didn't like it. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

Turns out Hunts, Ragu and at least Classico makes low sugar and/or low salt pasta/spaghetti sauce. I know home made would probably be better, but I don't have the money or energy for that, so premade it is. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Especially not in a pasta sauce. Add some carrots and you get sweetness. |
