Sir Jack Brabham has passed away.

He was a RAAF flight mechanic and then ran a small engineering workshop before he started racing in 1948, he retired from international racing in 1970 and his last race drive was in 2004. In that time he won the F1 world championship 3 times (1959,1960 & 1966). Jack is also the only F1 driver so far to have won a F1 world championship in a car that he designed and built (1966). He was a very quiet and humble bloke. R.I.P. Jack and thanks for the memories. ID: 1517959 ·
