Good morning Byron :) I shall be having some of the excellent bacon added to the special :) I suppose I missed it now. That's what I get for going out and doing stuff I enjoy. Tonight's dinner really needed the help, too. Leftover McDonald's. Hey, is that Godot over there??? *snitches bacon* No? I guess I was wrong. I'd sure like some bacon, but I think I'd better go to bed. Is this place also an inn? David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

Good morning everyone :) Mornin', Byron. It's usually quiet here on the weekends, but here in the States it's a 3-day Holiday weekend, so a lot of us are off doing other things with family and friends. I'm part of the local Avenue of Flags. Spent most of Saturday decorating Veterans' graves with small American flags and setting up for Monday's festivities. Today I have other obligations, but Monday I'll be working our Avenue of Flags and Memorial Day services from 0600 to 1800 or 1900. Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

Good morning everyone :) It is, Mike, but also a lot of fun. We have a core group of about 20 from local Veteranss Service Organization Posts, and several local Community Service Organizations that help during the Memorial Day weekend. We placed over 2000 small flags on graves yesterday. Last year we flew 1875 casket flags, this year it will be 1980, and we already have a dozen donated flags to prep for next year. It's sad to think of all these Veterans getting their Final Orders, but in honoring them like this, we meet a lot of great people, and get to educate a large chunk of the younger generations about what it takes to preserve the freedoms we enjoy. Hi Scott. :) How are you doing? Doing well, Annie. I've been busy re-refurbishing a nine year old computer. I had to reinstall the OS, get all the updates, install Firefox, install Adobe Reader and Flash, install Kaspersky PURE 3.0, install Spybot Search and Destroy, update Kaspersky and Spybot, then defragment the hard drive. The OS is Win XP Pro x64. The system is almost finished. I need to take it in to Central Computers in Santa Clara, (the only computer store I trust), and confirm that the open slot on the motherboard is indeed a PCI-e slot. If it is, I'm buying an NVIDIA GTX750 (TI) card to crunch with. Even if it isn't a PCI-e slot, I will be crunching with this computer. It will be slightly faster than Constellation, my Ubuntu Linux 12.0.4 system. I've named this newly rebuilt system Exeter. May she crunch long and well. TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... The three types of PCI-E slot Hopefully it looks like the longer yellow one. Though it won't necessarily be yellow. |

[Hi Donald, It has ben my honor and my pleasure to serve, and continue serving. We also celebrate BVeterans' Day on November 11, but the weather is usually to crappy to respectfully fly all those flags. Almost 2000 5x12 foot Casket flags - imagine the laundry bill if it rains.
