Message 1498997 - Posted: 3 Apr 2014, 7:58:15 UTC - in response to Message 1498971.

It's the long haul trucks using their compression brakes on the way north during the night that annoy me sometimes when they make more noise than the music that I have playing while I'm asleep. :-(

Time for me to have that beer for Gordon now. :-)

Cheers.

I know what you mean about that type of noise - there are some steep and rather treacherous highway curves near where I work that sneak up on truckers not familiar with the area here. Speaking of trucks, Ice Road Truckers is a good show.

Enjoy that beer, Wiggo, and I'm working on the healthy mind and body thing, :~)

Me too, belts tight and no loose fitting "T" shirts; ))

LOL, I have my belt tight and I still have to pull up my pants. Its that beer gut thing I think. Is that why suspenders were invented for us old guys? :)

OK living in the UK just for a second there I had a very disturbing vision.

Over here "suspenders" are what you call "a garter belt"

I realised that you meant what us on the other side of the pond call "braces"

I don't know if it's sold everywhere, but I imagine it is. There's something you all have called Irn Bru I'd be curious to try.

I'm always a bit suspicious of things I don't know how to pronounce :) I'll give it a try and let you know - as long as I can pick it up off the shelf and don't have to ask for it :)

LOL, it does a little bit, but not with the same results.

I'm mainly a Cherry Coke guy, Orange Crush, or Root Beer. On Laverne and Shirley, one of the two of them liked milk and Pepsi (mixed up together!)

Not a fan of Dr. Pepper.

I can't sleep flat on anything. That's why I sleep in my recliner. When I took a train trip for New Year's, I undid the beds and slept in the seats.

Dr. Pepper IS carbonated prune juice. They just don't advertise it as such. I've always loved Dr. Pepper. (...and 7-Up)

Another one that's not around my area much, anymore, is RC Cola. It's big in Texas; especially on Lackland AFB. I got my fill of RC Cola there in 1991.
