I can certainly guarantee that he won't make that mistake again. :-( Now a politician with some sense, http://www.news.com.au/technology/innovation/learner-drivers-should-take-motorcycle-lessons-cory-bernardi/story-fnjwucvh-1227133922794, now that was expanded to include city-buses (with their wide bodies, limited views and large overhangs) we'd get a much better breed of drivers/riders on our roads. yes, you can tell that I'm bored again Cheers. |

The 2nd video worked, Wiggo. Horrors. It didn't look very good for that trucker. After going back and reading follow-ups, it was bad for that poor fellow. Slippery roads are difficult to stop on -- even by down-shifting (standard xmission.). |

All I can say is, we have stupid drivers in the US too. I feel safest in Germany, cruising on the Autobahn. In the UK, I will leave the driving to others. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

Car insurance premiums up & truck premiums down, lovely! I watched the video several times, the car was following the old lane markings, instead of the construction lane shift markings. |

Car insurance premiums up & truck premiums down, lovely! Which may have been the set visible at the car drivers height in the rain. Water has interesting refractive properties. Too bad he didn't have a dash cam. |

It really amazes me when "feeble" excuses appear whenever an incident occurs on roads. |

It really amazes me when "feeble" excuses appear whenever an incident occurs on roads. What is "feeble" if each driver saw a different set of lines? That makes the people in charge of putting lines down responsible for not realizing it might rain. Are you telling me that you have never been through a construction zone when it is wet driving at car height and found the temporary lane markings hard to see? Well, maybe they put botts dots down there for temporary markings, they don't do that here. |

It really amazes me when "feeble" excuses appear whenever an incident occurs on roads. Went back at looked at the video again. HGV had a nice set of lane markers to follow on the right. On his left, the car's right, they were missing just before the collision. On the car's left the sand blasted away edge of road paint stripe is very prominent and there are zero new markers. You are correct, lane discipline. Follow the markers which you can see which appear to be the ones that were sand blasted off creating nice markers on the wet road. |

It really amazes me when "feeble" excuses appear whenever an incident occurs on roads. If both drivers believe that they are staying in their lane, then it is not a matter or lane discipline. BOINC WIKI |
