Lori and I are trying to keep tabs on her only son. 90 days of rehab and 2 weeks later........ At least the sun broke on the kid and he says he wants to be happy and sober. Until the next beer. It's really hard for me to provide support given my own failures. I usually crashed Buicks. BIG Buicks. Electra 225's...several of them. But, at least I owned them all, not anybody else's. He has nothing left. Lori fronted him the money for his current apartment. I helped move him from one place to another with the Uhaul the last 3 times. His kitty was saved from death via placing her in a shelter by the friendship of another recovering addict this last time. Unfortunately, kitty Luci lost her twin brother Desi due to a stroke of some kind, and she is just NOT adoptable............hisses at about anything that moves. You have to get to know her slowly, but that is not workable in a shelter situation.........cute is king in the shelter world, and she is anything but, if you don't know her. So, either he straightens out in the next few weeks and makes a go of it, or he is going down further than he understands is possible. I could possibly discuss this via PM with anybody interested, but it is getting to be a more painful story than I should discuss here. And then, there is her 2nd story tenant at the rental she is dealing with. And then, oh s..t.....life is just not pretty at times. And you wonder. Or do you? Why I immerse myself in Rogers and Hammerstein musicals and the one who sang them best, Julie Andrews. She brings me peace and happiness at times, as for a while, does 'Somewhere over the Rainbow' by Garland. And then it gets so very confused on my end about what I know, how I know it, when I knew it, who believes it, and who the F cares anyway. I have a rather twisted soul.
