Here is a WU where I had a -9 overflow and then the WU was sent out again. Seems one result seems valid but the other one had no stderr output except a start and finish. I guess I just do not understand what makes a valid anymore. I do not think my result was valid......even though many of my -9 overflow results seem to get validated. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=1416412785 That seems - sadly for you - to be an entirely normal outcome. Your cuda application reported an excessive number of spikes - a common failure mode, usually cured (at least in the short term) by simply rebooting the computer. Carry on working with Jason for a longer term fix. The other two applications seem to have reported "strongly similar" result files. It's a bit irritating that the cosmetic stderr_txt was missing from one of them, but that has no effect at all on the validation of what turned out to be a non-overflow task. |
