Angela! Those pictures are getting too cute now!!! I'm going to do something foolosh soon :) Or maybe foolish... depending on how I feel :) Suzie-Q PC so sweeet! So sorry he's not still with you :( My cats like to sit on top of the tv to watch it. Not all of them, though there are frequent cat avalanches if several want to watch the same program. I have one cat that the minute there are any birds on the screen likes to lay flat on his back on the floor to watch them. He also tries to catch helicopters. :) |

Grace is anything but small, The plate in the pic is 10.5" in diameter, Her feet are two fingers wide, She's a B&W Maine Coon cat that weighs about 15lbs. Her on top of the aquarium thanks to some boxes, now the boxes are put away and She jumped from on top of some bookshelves and landed on top without breaking any glass, to the left of the pictured bookshelf is one that is as tall and is almost identical to the one in the pic. The current arrangement of the 100 gallon aquarium(that's 768w of light under the hood, which's for a planted aquarium), TV and Bookshelves, I can't fill the aquarium here since I don't know if the stand is on two floor joists or just one joist, I'd put the tanks against the wall on the left, but I don't have 3 MAME base isolators(Pic below, Video at link shows an aquarium being shaken as in an earthquake, no water's spilled), I don't want the fiberboard floor to be broken that's under the off white carpet, Grace shows up good with very little light on that carpet. MAME base isolator/Tank Saver, maximum weight capacity: 550lbs; Dimensions: 20"x20". The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Hi Zoom! :) I imagine she's difficult to get out from under her (does that make sense? Well it did in my head anyway :)) My fishtanks are titchy compared to yours! With them being on a solid ground floor I don't have to worry about their weight. I hope you find a secure situation for them, and that Grace doesn't fall in. My sister's cat has fallen in their tank several times. I have one cat that does occasionally fall in our pond. He never seems to remember that it's there :) |

I turned on the heater for a short time this morning and this little guy crawled out of the vent in the living room ceiling. It's a Mediterranean Gekko. There are zillions of them here in central Texas. They eat bugs. This guy is about as big as they get - about five inches long. ~Sue~ |

I turned on the heater for a short time this morning and this little guy Geckos are powerful spirit-creatures in Hawai'ian lore, bringing good lock to those they grace with their presence. It was definitely good to have them in our barracks rooms. They usually hung out around the refrigerator, and took care of the cockroaches and centipedes for us.... If that were true I'd be very, very lucky. I'm not. So I can confirm that this is not true. Or maybe it's because I'm not Hawaiian. ;-) ~Sue~ |

Or because it's a Mediterranean gecko and not an Hawaiian one Suzie. Cheers. |

They usually hung out around the refrigerator, and took care of the cockroaches and centipedes for us.... Lizards, gecko's, chameleons... they used to be a regular part of my scenery. I really miss seeing them. I know Britain does have some indigenous species - but have only ever seen one teeny tiny lizard - down on the south Coast near Swanage. Chameleons indoors in particular were considered extremely bad luck in many African cultures. Just as well I'm not superstitious :) - because we had them frequently passing through... and snakes. |
