It sure was a calm weekend at Rocky's...:)

It was, the koalas didn't even have a fight over which larger glasses to use over Christmas :)

Koala # 2 told me they got a large shipment of Christmas glasses in this morning:))

Woohoo! :) Now all that needs doing is a test, for quality control purposes of course :)

I've just heard that my uncle died today aged 92. Ye gods what a year, both personally, and internationally. I really do hope for better things for everyone in 2014.

Thoughts and prayers in your time of loss, Chris.
And I hope that next year brings better times for all of us also.

The outrage is over. That calls for a drink.

I was going to be the first to post in TLPTPW, but I was the last before.

Time to settle into a chair near the fire with a butty. Most likely containing bacon.

One of these days, I need to find a restaurant that serves authentic English butties. Preferably with bacon.

I have these two kind of lights in my Christmas tree, one of them is for outdoors I think, they're much brighter, gives it kind of a funny look:) My Christmas shopping is on Thursday as I have a day off then 'cause I work on Saturday.

Probably, but as I am an agnostic I don't really "celebrate" Christmas, I send no cards or presents, and apart from the fact that all the shops round me will be closed, it is just another day.

I do have a "celebration" meal, but for me it is more of a "thanksgiving" or a celebration of the winter solstice (21st December) as these things seem more relevant to me than the commercialisation that Christmas has come to symbolise.

This will be my 4th year without any decorations. It's the 3rd without my mother, plus she was in the nursing home for her last one.

I wouldn't mind having one or two little things around, but I have too much junk now. And those little things might feel more pathetic than nothing at all.
