Message 1449304 - Posted: 2 Dec 2013, 20:01:33 UTC - in response to Message 1448823.

Oh what a lovely Saturday, I'll sit by the fire while the koalas whip up something with lots of bacon.

Popping in for a nightcap, but suddenly I'm hungry. A 4-egg scramble with crisp bacon, pork sausage, chicken sausage, ham, shredded beef, jack, cheddar and swiss cheeses, onions, bell peppers, black olives and mushrooms should do me until breakfast. And a pint mug of Irish Creme Decaf coffee to wash it down. Thanks much.

And yes, the warmth of the fire feels good on a cold night like this one.

Sounds good except for the last 3 ingredients. I'll have either an English muffin, a buttermilk biscuit, or a bagel with cream cheese with mine. And tea, not too strong, with Splenda.

Nope, it doesn't crunch 24/7; because, I can't afford the electric bill. Plus, I don't want components on the computer to die out sooner than they should... I've already lost a power supply on this machine, and I don't know why that happened. It "melted" itself and was warm to the touch while plugged in; but, of course, wouldn't turn the computer on... I think a power surge got to it, but I'm not sure. I was lucky that nothing else got damaged on the computer.

Anyway, I'll have a late breakfast/brunch... I'll have my usual, please. :-)

If all of you will excuse me, I believe I'll be visiting another establishment this evening.

The Tilted Kilt just opened its new location at Fox Valley mall, not too far from me, and I asked a couple of friends to join me for my birthday.

Hope it's been a happy one so far, David.

Used to be a Tilted Kilt in Bakersfield. Some of my Shipmates in the Silent Service Motorcycle Club used to meet there regularly.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes.

TK was indeed interesting. Much better menu than Hooters, and more interesting garb on the lassies. (There was a busboy wearing a kilt too, but not the push-up bra.)

Instead of Long Island Ice Tea, they have Irish Tea, with whiskey instead of tequila.

I had a Celtic Crush. Look up their menu if you want to know. It was good. I'd never had triple sec before.

I ate chicken fried chicken. I even ate the veggies.

Best of all, my best friend paid for my meal and bought me a calendar.

I'm sure my blood sugar will be sky high in the morning.
