Lori has been doing well so far in her attempted recovery from HCV.

Her strength and stamina has recovered to amazing levels.
Superseding even mine.

As you may recall, she went through a most horrible year of chemo.
The first 3 months were the worst.....Incivek is a most horrible drug.
But the most wonderful at the same time.
She was so ill most of the time, I truly do not know how she coped.
She looked at times, literally, like death warmed over.

That passed, and then a year passed, and finally she finished her regimen around our birthday, on the 18th. Mine in January, hers in February.

Now.....the time has come for the ultimate test.

In a couple of weeks, she goes back to Froedtert for her 6 month post treatment test.

Did it really work? Is it gone forever?

I am sure after the visit, there shall be yet another week or more waiting for the results from the labs.

This is the last stand, as it were.

At our age, I am not sure she could withstand another round of chemo with whatever the new drugs may be at this time.

If the results are negative, a cure has been achieved.
If the results are positive, her end is just a bit more nearer than mine.

Please, if anybody wishes to, send your thoughts and prayers for Lori in the coming weeks. She deserves it way more than I do.
