...as there is no word coming from any of the staff memory tells me that at Seti no news is bad news... |

...as there is no word coming from any of the staff memory tells me that at Seti no news is bad news... Unfortunately experience postulates you are right... Aloha, Uli |

5 splitters now running, still unable to produce enough work to build up a ready-to-send buffer. Nope, but previously even 5 splitters were enough to keep the ready-to-send buffer full, even with shorties going though. As it is, they're barely able to split 12/sec, 20/s is generally the minimum needed to keep things flowing smoothly. Grant Darwin NT |

Is Marvin going to be resurrected before the weekend? Since AstroPulse validations stopped, my RAC has just about hit Zero. Server Status page at 5 Oct 2013, 0:00:08 UTC now shows Marvin running the AP database - but the validator has not been started. Edit: I just had one AP validate. Maybe a test? 2nd Edit: at 0:40:05 UTC AP validator and assimilators are shown as running. Another Fred Support SETI@home when you search the Web with GoodSearch or shop online with GoodShop. |

Kitties got a boatload of APs validated. Everything's caught up, according to the SSP. Wonder if it's really Marvin, or if the process has been transferred to Muarae........ "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

PFB splitters still struggling to produce work. As above. Major reason for panic- Seti graphs aren't displaying. Web page is there, but no graphs. Grant Darwin NT |

PFB splitters still struggling to produce work. 05mr09af moved from the first channel to the second, but then stopped again. 17ap08ad moved from the sixth channel to the eighth, but then stopped again. Major reason for panic- Seti graphs aren't displaying. Both Cricket and Haveland are displaying properly here - where are we panicking? |

'cos Grant can?? So long as there are tasks being dispatched, and I'm not getting "no work available" messages there's no need to panic.... Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Splitters still struggling, just not quite as much as they have been. We finally got through 17ap08ad, but now two separate splitters are spinning their wheels in the mud that is 05mr09af. |

Well unless someone can get those 2 splitters moving again, or some new files are loaded, then it could be a dry weekend. Cheers. |

Well unless someone can get those 2 splitters moving again, or some new files are loaded, then it could be a dry weekend. Yep, splitters still not putting out much work, and ready-to-send buffer steadily shrinking. Grant Darwin NT |

Well unless someone can get those 2 splitters moving again, or some new files are loaded, then it could be a dry weekend. All three of the 'moving' tapes contain shorties, so everything split will be gobbled up faster than it can be replaced. |

Well unless someone can get those 2 splitters moving again, or some new files are loaded, then it could be a dry weekend. I may not be the only one, but I have sent a message to Eric in the hopes that he will be in the lab today and may attempt to effect some repairs. Meow. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting."
