I have Boinc 4.56 and Boincview 1.0 in use. I had to update to Boinc 4.56 as 4.53 was eating my WUs and not returning them if I was not connected to internet. Since updating both these programs, I cannot use Boincview to remotely view the clients I have installed on other machines on the lan here. Apparently Boinc 4.56 only allows /s and /h at startup and the option to allow remote gui as it used to be no longer exists. Anyone know what the latest commands are so I can remotely view Boinc on lan machines please? Thanks. Greg. |

Until now port 31416 was used for communication. Starting with version 4.56 that changed to port 1043. Did you choose that port in Boincview? |

You didnt HAVE to use 31416 in earlier Boincviews. I used other ports. Where do you choose the port? I finally got them to report but I cant remotely tell them to update etc yet. |

As to Boincview FAQ, it ALSO says to use -allow_remote_gui_rpc which isnt correct as per this version. I already tried both but neither are updated. Good news is I just figured it out another way though. Hooray! Thanks all. |

In a Locations where adding new machines takes place, there is an option of file or RPC access and IP/port to specify... > Where do you choose the port? > > I finally got them to report but I cant remotely tell them to update etc yet. > > |
