	This inexpensive CUDA card supposedly will run in my [Small Form Factor] HP DC7800 with intel core duo E8300 2.83ghz and Vista 32. In another part of the forum I read I can run Einstein on the dual core and Seti CUDA on the nvidia card at the same time. This computer will run the typical Seti Work Unit [worth about 100 credits] in 15,000 seconds, two at a time. If I switch the CPU to run Einstein on the CPU, about how many credits would the little CUDA card earn over the same period of time for Seti? 	a) There's not really a "typical" work unit. They are all unique. b) I just started with a GT 630. It seems comparable to 3-4 threads on one of my better CPUs. Long story short I'd say your card will easily do 2-4x the work your CPU does. :-) c) when you want to set up your stuff for all of this (Cuda apps, two projects etc.), direct your questions to our number crunching forum, they are very knowledgeable with those finer details. ____________ -Dave #2 3.2.0-33

	It looks like the three cards I listed are full hight. However, Walmart lists MSI NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS 512MB/1GB DDR3 Low Profile PCI-Express Video Card for less then forty bucks. http://www.walmart.com/ip/19418020?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222227000000000&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=&wl3=21486607510&wl4=&wl5=pla&veh=sem I may just experiment with one of these before going full hog on the project. I have a small computer farm and if this card will add even 25% it would be cost effective. If it works out I will investigate the optimum card to use. Thanks guys...... DR

	EXPERIMENT I have located a low form factor version of the GT610 and plan to install it in one of my spare ebay specials [hp sff dc7800 2.84 intel e8300]. I will then add it to my seti account for CUDA and see if seti recognizes it and sends tasks. If it does, I will then add that same computer to my Einstein account and see if the computer subsequently runs Einstein on the CPU while the GT610 works on Seti. Assuming I can get this installation to work, I will then compare the production between the two. The seventy watt $100 computer generates about 2000 credits per day. If the $40 thirty watt gt610 generates 1000 credits it is worth it for me to do more of the same. I have already asked my supplier how much he would charge to build a dedicated CUDA machine and then will benchmark the entire conglomeration. This is getting to be a fun hobby! DR
